I’d just try it on a small hidden spot first to be safe. That’s what I usually do with stuff like this.
I’m not sure it’s something to worry about honestly. Most of these portable coolers make a little noise when the water gets low, it’s just how they work.
I keep mine clipped to the outside and haven’t had it snag on anything yet. But I only use it when I’m walking around the city, not on a packed bus or train. Might be more of an issue in crowded spots.
Honestly, 7 hours sounds fine if you’re not translating nonstop. I’d probably just charge the case while eating lunch or something.
Pretty sure NFC tags run on the same frequency as payment cards, so it’d block them too. I wouldn’t overthink it, unless you’re trying to tap your wallet on purpose. Probably not a big deal for most people.
I think it depends on the drone. I’ve seen some pretty compact ones that would slip into a 20L no problem. Not a big deal if you pack light.
I’d probably just bring a little phrasebook for offline use and use the translator when I have wifi. Less to worry about that way.
I think it depends on what you’re used to. I grabbed one for my desk and it’s definitely more than a gentle waft, but it’s not gonna blast you like a high-speed desk fan. I actually prefer that during work hours since it’s quieter and doesn’t mess up papers.
I tried offline mode on mine a few times and it worked fine for basic questions. A bit slower than online but still got the point across. I’d trust it for simple travel stuff.
I wouldn’t worry too much. For a small patio and a quick car blow-off, 15 minutes is usually enough. I’ve done similar stuff with mine and didn’t feel rushed.
I use mine for my backpack when I travel and the geofence alerts have been fine for me. The Bluetooth range is definitely shorter than what they show in ads, but for keeping track of a bag in the same airport terminal it works well enough. Battery life hasn’t been an issue yet but I haven’t had mine for more than a couple months so maybe it’ll drop off later. For the price I’d say it’s decent for casual use.
I usually chuck a tiny FM radio in my bag. It’s nice to stumble on a local station, even if half the time I never end up turning it on…

Title’s a bit dramatic, it’s not magic. Offline handles short exchanges okay, longer back-and-forths or thick accents can scramble things. I’d still pack it as a backup to avoid phone roaming.
Not convinced it’s all hype; mesh often actually helps by putting a node closer to a weak spot. Price is annoying and it’s not magic if your ISP or wiring sucks, but for flaky coverage it can be worth a try.

Bought one last summer, simple to use and clamp stayed steady on a few chains I tried. Guide keeps the angles consistent and I didn’t mess up any teeth. For the price it feels like a handy little buy for regular home use.
