Oliver BrooksMemberI’m looking at the Enence Translator for an upcoming trip but I won’t always have data. Does anyone know how many languages are available offline on this thing? I see it says 68+ languages but I’m guessing that’s only when connected to wifi.

Sam ReadsMemberI think it’s mostly the big ones that work offline. When I looked into it before, it seemed like you get the common languages like Spanish, French, Chinese, that kind of thing, but the less popular ones need wifi. Probably enough for a basic trip.

Daniele RossiMemberI’d probably just bring a little phrasebook for offline use and use the translator when I have wifi. Less to worry about that way.

Ben KerrMemberI think the offline languages are way less than 68. I remember reading it only has like 10 or 12 languages preloaded for offline use. The rest need wifi to download first or just don’t work without a connection. Not totally sure which ones though.

MemberHonestly, I think the offline mode is pretty limited, like just a handful of the most common languages. I remember reading it’s maybe 8 to 10 that actually work without wifi. I’d check the manual before you go if you really need it.

Rob CMemberI think most of the offline stuff is just the big ones like Spanish, French, Chinese. The rest are basically a waste of space unless you’re online.

Paul847ParticipantI think it’s like 10 or so for offline, mostly the common ones. Not a huge deal for me since I usually just use it online anyway.

MemberI think it’s something like 10 or 12 languages that work offline, not the full 68. I’ve only ever used mine with wifi honestly so I can’t say for sure. Maybe someone else here has tested it more.

TommyWiresMemberI bought mine mostly for the online stuff so I never really tested the offline mode properly. I know it worked with Spanish and French when I tried it at home once but I didn’t check how many others were there. Probably enough for basic phrases but not the full list.

Maria_BakesMemberHonestly I think the offline mode works for maybe 10 to 15 languages at most, the rest definitely need wifi. I wouldn’t rely on it for anything too complex without a connection.

Oliver BrooksMemberThanks for the info everyone. Sounds like offline is decent for the basics but not much more than that. I’ll probably still pick one up and just use it mostly online. Appreciate the help.

d4nielParticipantI’d still get it but treat offline as a backup, not the main feature. I travel with mine and just download what I need on my phone before I leave. The device is fine for the basics but I wouldn’t count on it being your only option when you’re off the grid.
