Jenna LeeMemberI just got an AlarmTag and I’m thinking of clipping it to my backpack for a trip. Seems like it would be easy to grab if needed, but I’m wondering if the pull pin could get snagged on stuff accidentally. Has anyone had that happen with theirs?

no_sleepParticipantCan’t say I’ve had mine get snagged yet, but I also don’t clip it anywhere too obvious. I just keep it inside a small pocket where the pin is still easy to grab. Works fine for me so far.

RyanTParticipantI’d just clip it to a zipper pull or something instead of leaving it dangling loose. Less chance of it getting caught on anything that way.

Tom in NYCMemberMine’s been clipped to the outside of my bag for a few months now and I haven’t had it snag on anything yet. I think people overthink this stuff.

Dani MoonMemberI wouldn’t overthink it. If it snags, move it somewhere else.

Noah KentMemberI haven’t had any snagging issues with mine, but I also keep it clipped to a loop inside my bag rather than on the outside. Kinda defeats the quick-access purpose a bit, but it’s still easy enough to grab if I need it.

Mike TurnerMemberMine’s been clipped to the outside of my bag for a while now and I haven’t had any issues with snagging. People worry about it too much, it’s not that fragile.

MemberI keep mine clipped to a loop inside the main compartment, so it’s not exposed to anything that could snag it. Feels fine for me that way.

Owen21MemberI keep mine clipped to the shoulder strap webbing, not dangling free. Feels easy to grab but stays flat against the bag so nothing really catches on it.

MemberI’ve had mine on my bag for a week and nothing snagged yet. Seems like you’d have to really catch it on something for it to pull out.

MemberI don’t know, I feel like if you’re worried about it snagging you’re probably overthinking a bit. I clip mine to a zipper pull on the outside and it’s been fine so far. It’s not like it’s dangling loose.

Daniele RossiMemberI keep mine clipped to the outside and haven’t had it snag on anything yet. But I only use it when I’m walking around the city, not on a packed bus or train. Might be more of an issue in crowded spots.

MemberHonestly I think the snagging worry is overblown. Unless you’re shoving your bag into tight spaces constantly, the pin isn’t going to just fall out on its own. I’ve had mine clipped to a belt loop for months and it’s never gone off by accident.

MemberI clipped mine to the outside of my bag for a bit, but honestly I just keep it in a side pocket now. Better safe than having it go off in a crowded train.

coffeeandscreensParticipantI dunno, I think you might be overthinking it a bit. I clip mine to the front of my bag and it’s been fine so far.

MemberI think the snagging thing is a bit overblown. I’ve had mine clipped to a bag loop for a while and it never went off by accident. Seems like it takes a pretty solid yank to actually pull the pin.

MemberI’ve been using one clipped to my backpack for a few months now and honestly haven’t had any issues with it snagging. I just make sure it’s on a tight loop rather than dangling loose. It’s worked fine for me so far, so I wouldn’t worry too much.
