I’m thinking about picking up a Breezi AC for my desk at work, but I won’t always have ice available. Does it still cool decently with just regular tap water, or is ice pretty much required to feel any difference?

I think it still works fine with just tap water. The ice helps a bit but it’s not like it stops working without it.

I didn’t get mine for office use, but I’ve run it with room temp water plenty of times at home. It’s still a nice little breeze, just not super cold. I’d say it’s fine for a desk if you just want some air movement.

You’re overthinking it. Just run it with tap water and the fan will do its job. The ice is a gimmick that melts in ten minutes anyway.

Yeah I just went ahead and got one. It’s fine with tap water honestly, the fan alone is enough for my desk and the mist is a nice bonus. Not life changing but does what I wanted.
