It’s been getting pretty hot here lately, so I’ve been thinking about getting an Epicooler. Does it actually help in a small bedroom during a heatwave, or is it more of a personal cooler?

I’ve got one in my bedroom and honestly it’s fine for what it is. Not going to cool the whole room down like a proper AC unit but it does make sitting at my desk a bit more bearable.

I think it really depends on what you’re expecting. A friend of mine has one and she says it’s decent if you’re sitting right next to it, but it definitely won’t cool down the whole room like a window unit would. Probably fine for a small space if you’re not expecting miracles.

I got one last summer and it’s fine if you don’t expect much. It’s more of a personal breeze than room cooling.

I just use mine as a desk fan basically. It’s fine for keeping me from melting while I’m working, but I wouldn’t say it does much for the room itself.

I’ve had mine for a while and honestly it’s been nice to have on my nightstand. It’s not gonna turn the room into an icebox but it’s enough to take the edge off when I’m trying to sleep.

I think people might be overthinking it a bit. For a small bedroom it does enough to take the edge off, at least in my experience.

Lots of mixed takes in here. I just use mine on nights when the AC isn’t quite cutting it, and it’s good enough to fall asleep to.

I keep seeing people say it’s only good as a personal fan, but for a small bedroom that’s kind of the point, isn’t it? I’m thinking about grabbing one just to have something pointed at me while I’m trying to sleep.

It’s fine for what it is. I’d say if your room is actually small, you’ll notice it more than if you had it in a bigger space.
