Looking at the Guardality card for my wallet since I keep forgetting to take out my transit card. It says it blocks 13.56 MHz stuff, but does that include NFC tags or just the payment cards? Not sure if it matters that much.

Yeah, but if you keep the card in your wallet you’ll need to take out your transit card when you want to use it.

It’ll mess with NFC tags too since they basically run on the same frequency. Not a big deal if you just tap your transit card on the reader separately though.

Pretty sure NFC and those contactless payment cards both use 13.56 MHz, so yeah, it’ll probably mess with any NFC tag you put near it. I wouldn’t overthink it though, mine works fine for what it does.

It blocks NFC too, same frequency. Works fine for me, I keep it next to my transit card and it stops it from being read when I don’t want it to. I wouldn’t overthink it.

I think it’s basically the same frequency, so yeah it’d block NFC tags too. I don’t use NFC tags myself but I’ve got mine sitting next to my transit card and it definitely stops that from getting read when I don’t want it to. Works for what I need it for anyway.

I wouldn’t overthink it. If it blocks 13.56 MHz then yeah it’s going to stop NFC tags too since they run on the same frequency. Most people don’t need to worry about that anyway.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it. NFC tags run on the same frequency so yeah it’ll block them, but unless you’re actively tapping your wallet against a reader it’s not really an issue. I’ve got one in my wallet and my phone still reads tags just fine when I take the card out.

It’s the same frequency, so yeah it’ll block NFC tags too. Not really something to stress about unless you’re trying to tap your whole wallet against something on purpose. It’s a non-issue for most people.

It blocks NFC tags too since they run on the same frequency. I use mine mostly for transit cards and it works fine for that.

Pretty sure NFC runs on the same frequency, so if it blocks one it’s blocking the other too. Mine just sits in my wallet and I haven’t noticed any issues with my phone reading tags or anything, honestly kind of forget it’s in there. Not losing sleep over it.

Guessing it would block NFC tags too since they’re both 13.56 MHz. I wouldn’t stress about it.
