MemberI dunno, I think people might be overthinking the battery drain a bit. It runs for like three minutes every six hours, that’s basically nothing in the grand scheme of things.

MemberHonestly, I wouldn’t overthink it too much. If they’re both pulling the same wattage, the difference on your bill is basically nothing. I’d just go with whichever one feels better to sit near.

MemberI’ve had mine on my desk for a couple months now and it’s been fine on medium for maybe like three or four hours before I remember to plug it in. Honestly I don’t really keep track, it just runs until I’m done working.

MemberI think it’s basically the same frequency, so yeah it’d block NFC tags too. I don’t use NFC tags myself but I’ve got mine sitting next to my transit card and it definitely stops that from getting read when I don’t want it to. Works for what I need it for anyway.

MemberI think having them right behind your head might actually be fine depending on the soundbar. I’ve got mine sort of angled down from a shelf behind my couch and it works for me but I’m not totally sure if that’s the ideal setup. Maybe try them at ear level first and see if it feels overwhelming before moving them higher.

MemberHonestly, mine does the same thing with the IR on medium. I just keep a power bank handy when I’m out for a while, it’s not a big deal for me.

MemberBattery life is what it is for something this small, I just plug it in when I’m at a cafe or in the hotel room and it’s fine. Roaming speeds have been okay for me, never really noticed a huge difference unless I’m in the middle of nowhere.

MemberIt took me a solid five or six nights before the shape stopped feeling weird. I’m about two weeks in now and I don’t even think about it anymore, just wake up with less tension in my shoulders.

MemberThey’re not a big deal, I think most people just put up with them. Small thing: fingerprint sensors often don’t like the plastic, so maybe use face unlock or a PIN while you ride. Texting and calls usually work through the pouch, just a bit fiddly sometimes.

MemberQuick tip: point the speaker toward likely cat pathways instead of straight at the pots so the sound covers the route they use. Try switching the frequency every few days since animals can get used to a single tone.

MemberI had one in my daily driver and after the learning miles I saw a tiny uptick, maybe around 1 mpg. Car did feel a bit smoother so I just left it in, nothing dramatic though. Low-key happy with it.

MemberTried anti-mold paint in a little damp nook and it did slow the visible regrowth, so I wasn’t scrubbing it every month. It felt more like a cosmetic help than fixing the damp, but honestly saved me time. I’d use it again just for that.
