I plugged a SynGas into my car OBD2 a couple weeks ago. It said it needs about 150 miles to learn, so I drove around 200 miles but I’m not sure my MPG changed. Driving feels a bit smoother but not dramatic. Curious if anyone actually saw real fuel savings after it finished learning.

Tried one of these months ago and after the learning miles I couldn’t spot a real MPG change on my commute. The car did feel a touch smoother, which could be placebo. I’m a bit skeptical that a little plug alone will move the needle much. If you like the smoother feel it’s fine to keep, but don’t expect big savings.

I think mine got a small bump after the learning miles, maybe 1-2 mpg, not totally sure. Driving felt a bit smoother so I just left it in.

I had one in my daily driver and after the learning miles I saw a tiny uptick, maybe around 1 mpg. Car did feel a bit smoother so I just left it in, nothing dramatic though. Low-key happy with it.

It smoothed things out for me but I wouldn’t expect huge MPG jumps. Reset your trip/average MPG after the 150 miles so you can actually tell if it changed.

Not sure anyone gets dramatic savings. I tried a plug-in once and it made things feel smoother but my MPG barely moved after a couple hundred miles. Maybe it’s more noticeable in heavy city driving, not on long highway runs.

Thanks everyone. Left it plugged for another 300 miles and averaged about 1 mpg better, driving feels a bit smoother so I’m keeping it for now. Not a miracle but useful enough for daily driving.

Hard to say honestly. I ran mine for a few hundred miles and never bothered to reset anything to check properly. The car felt a bit less jerky at low speed maybe, but I couldn’t tell you if I saved a single gallon.
