I plugged in my StopWatt a few weeks back near the breaker box. Green light is on steady but I can’t really tell if it’s doing anything. Anyone else notice any change or is it just a fancy nightlight?

Mine’s been plugged in for about a month and honestly, I don’t notice anything different either. The light is on, so I just assume it’s doing whatever it’s supposed to do.

I had the same thought when I first plugged mine in, but after a couple of months I did notice my power bill was a tiny bit lower. Could be coincidence, but I figure if the light is on and it’s not hurting anything, I’ll just leave it there.

Green light just means it’s plugged in and getting power. Hard to say if it’s actually doing anything without a meter or something to compare.

It’s probably fine. Green light just means it’s getting power, not that it’s magically saving you money. If your bill hasn’t changed, you’re not missing much.

Green light just means it’s powered up, so that part’s fine. I’ve had mine for a couple months and my bill didn’t really change, but I didn’t expect much from a little plug-in thing anyway. Works as a nightlight if nothing else.

I’m not convinced these things do much beyond looking like a little gadget. The green light is just a power indicator, not a performance meter.

I think people overthink the green light honestly. It’s just telling you it’s plugged in, not that your bill is dropping instantly.

Honestly, I wouldn’t stress about it. I’ve had mine plugged in for a while and the light stays on, no drama. I figure if it’s not messing anything up and the bill isn’t going up, it’s fine.

I just leave mine plugged in and don’t really think about it. The light stays on, no flickering or anything, so I guess it’s working as intended. Hard to say if it’s actually smoothing out anything, but I haven’t had any issues with my appliances acting up since I put it in. Could just be coincidence, but I’ll leave it there anyway.
