MemberI just tried the heat mode on my Hewelth ReliefChain for the first time and I’m wondering if it’s supposed to feel more like a gentle warmth or if mine might be running a bit weak. It’s definitely not cold but I was expecting something a bit more noticeable I guess. Anyone else find the far-infrared setting pretty subtle or is that just how it works?

MemberI think it’s supposed to be more of a gentle warmth than anything intense. I kind of prefer it that way since I don’t like it too hot.

MemberI haven’t really thought about it much, but mine feels like a gentle warmth too. I think that’s just how the far-infrared thing works, it’s not supposed to be super hot like a heating pad. I actually like it because it’s subtle enough that I can wear it for a while without feeling uncomfortable.

MemberMine feels pretty gentle too, but I actually like it that way. I don’t really want it hot enough to feel like a heating pad on my neck. I think it’s more for that subtle warmth while the pulse does the main work.

TommyWiresMemberI think it’s just the nature of far-infrared heat, it’s not really supposed to blast you like a space heater or anything. I actually kind of prefer it subtle, lets me wear it longer without feeling like I’m cooking my neck.

Mike TurnerMemberMine gets noticeably warm, not hot but definitely more than “kinda warm.” I actually had to turn it down after a while because it was getting a bit much. Maybe yours is defective or you’re expecting it to feel like a heating pad. It’s not that kind of heat.

LunaMemberI’ve had mine for a few weeks now and I’d say it’s more of a consistent mild warmth than anything super toasty. I actually didn’t even notice it at first until I sat still for a bit, then it felt nice and steady. Might just be that your expectations were higher, but mine works fine.

Dave RunnerMemberI think it’s just the far-infrared thing, it feels different than regular heat. More of a deep gentle warmth than surface heat.

Mike89ParticipantI think it might just be how yours runs. Mine gets noticeably warm after a few minutes, not crazy hot or anything but definitely more than just gentle. Maybe try it on a higher setting or use the pulse mode at the same time, that seems to help it feel stronger.

MemberHonestly, I think it’s fine. Mine feels warm enough to notice but it’s not like I’m sitting there thinking wow this is toasty. I just turn it on and forget about it, seems to do the job for loosening things up.

MemberI actually turn mine on and off during use. I like the warmth but sometimes I want it more subtle so I just run it for a bit then shut it off. Works fine for me that way.

MemberI think it’s just the nature of the far-infrared heat, it’s more of a deep warmth that creeps up on you rather than a blast of hot air. I barely notice it at first but after about ten minutes I can definitely feel it working into my shoulders.

LiamWParticipantMine feels warm enough that I notice it, but it’s not like a heating pad or anything. I kind of wonder if the far-infrared stuff just works differently than what we’re used to. Could be yours is fine and it’s just the way the heat hits.

MemberHuh, that’s interesting. Mine actually gets pretty noticeably warm, not hot or anything but definitely more than just subtle. I can feel it after a minute or so. Maybe yours is just running a bit on the lower side?

MemberI’ve only used mine a handful of times but it feels like a mild deep warmth to me, not really a surface heat if that makes sense. I just leave it on and forget about it until I notice my shoulders feel less tight. Works fine for what it is.

MemberI mean, it’s not going to feel like a hot towel or anything, but mine definitely gets warm enough to notice after a few minutes. I wouldn’t call it weak, it’s just a different kind of heat. Works fine for what it is.

MemberHonestly I barely notice mine at first but after like 10 minutes it feels nice and warm, not hot but definitely there. I think it’s just a slow build up kind of heat rather than instant. Works fine for me.

Emma JarrisMemberI wouldn’t overthink it, it’s not meant to be a blast furnace or anything. Mine does the same thing, it’s just a steady gentle warmth that sits there and does its job quietly. I barely notice it at first but after a while it’s definitely there and feels nice. Works fine for what it is.

MemberAlright, thanks for the replies everyone. Sounds like mine is probably working as intended then, just a slow build up. I’ll give it a few more sessions before I decide, but seems fine.

MemberI think it’s supposed to be subtle honestly, mine does the same thing and I actually like it that way. It’s more of a gentle warmth that builds up slowly rather than a strong heat, kind of cozy after a few minutes. I wouldn’t worry about yours being weak, sounds like it’s working fine.
