MemberI keep seeing the Breezi AC described as a cooler but it’s really just a fan with a water tank right? I’m wondering if it actually lowers the temperature in a small room or if you have to sit right next to it to feel anything. Not sure if that’s enough for a desk setup.

Jenna LeeMemberI think people overthink it a bit. It’s not going to replace an actual AC, but for a desk setup it’s fine if you just want some moving air that feels a little cooler. I’ve got one and I never really expected it to drop the room temp or anything.

MemberI think it’s one of those things where if you’re expecting it to cool the whole room you’ll be disappointed, but if you just want a nice breeze on your face while you work it’s totally fine. I keep mine on my desk and it definitely makes a difference when it’s warm, especially with ice in the tank. It’s more about that direct feeling than actually dropping the temperature in the air.

KhanMemberIt’s basically a fancy fan with a damp sponge effect. You have to sit pretty close to feel it, but the mist does make it feel cooler than just air moving around.

pixelnomadParticipantI think a lot of the complaints come from people expecting it to act like a mini AC unit, but if you just treat it as a desk fan with a mist option it’s actually pretty nice. I have one on my desk and it does make the air feel cooler right around my face without blasting me with noise. It’s not going to drop the room temperature, but for close range it works better than I expected.

Mike ReynoldsMemberIt’s not cooling the room, it’s just blowing air over some water. If you sit close enough it feels fine, but that’s about it.

MemberI just keep mine on my desk and it’s fine for those days when you don’t want to run the big AC just for one room. It’s definitely not cooling the whole space but if you’re sitting right there working it does feel noticeably nicer than a regular fan.

JSmithParticipantI think it probably depends on what you’re used to. For me, sitting right next to it on a desk is the only way it feels like it’s doing anything, but it does make the air feel less stuffy. Probably not enough to cool a whole room though.

MemberI mean it’s fine for what it is. I wouldn’t call it a big deal either way, just a desk thing that makes the air feel a bit less stale.

MemberI dunno, I kind of disagree with the idea that it’s useless unless you’re right on top of it. I have mine on a shelf nearby and it definitely makes the air feel less stale in the room.

Ryan__TMemberA lot of people seem to expect it to cool the whole room, but I think that’s missing the point. I just keep mine pointed at my face while I work and it’s noticeably cooler than just a fan alone.
22 de June de 2026 at 13:05 #3633Sophi86
MemberI think the title kind of answers itself honestly. It’s clearly not going to cool the whole room like a window unit would, but for a desk setup it does make the air feel less stale. I just keep mine pointed at me and it’s enough for those warm afternoons.
22 de June de 2026 at 15:18 #3641
no_sleepParticipantI think people read too much into the name. It’s basically a fancy desk fan with a mist feature, not a miracle machine. I use mine while I’m gaming and it keeps the air from getting stuffy, but I wouldn’t expect it to change the room temperature.
22 de June de 2026 at 17:45 #3649
EliMemberI never really expected it to lower the temperature of the room. I just keep it on my desk pointed at me and that’s enough for a hot afternoon.

MemberIt’s not going to cool the room like an AC, no. But it’s fine for a desk if you just want some airflow that feels cooler than a regular fan.
22 de June de 2026 at 22:00 #3665
Emma JarrisMemberI just throw ice cubes in the water tank and it makes a noticeable difference for me when it’s pointed at my desk. It’s not going to change the whole room or anything but it’s enough to keep me comfortable while I’m working.
23 de June de 2026 at 06:03 #3672Eddie___K
MemberI’m still on the fence about getting one. The close-range cooling sounds fine for my desk, but I’d probably want it to work without having to sit two feet away.
