MemberHey all, I’m looking at picking up a WellHeater for my home office and I was wondering about something. Does it make any kind of noise when it’s actually heating, or is it totally silent? I’m a bit sensitive to constant humming sounds while I’m trying to work, so I wanted to check before I buy one.

MemberI mean, it’s not dead silent. You can hear it when the fan kicks on, but it’s not loud or annoying. Fine for an office.

EliMemberI mean, it’s a heater with a fan, so it’s not gonna be totally silent. I wouldn’t worry about it for an office though, I barely notice mine.

MemberNah, it makes some noise. Not gonna pretend it’s dead quiet.

Paul847ParticipantMine makes a little clicking sound when it first turns on, but after that it’s pretty quiet. I wouldn’t say it’s silent, just not something that bothers me.

MemberIt’s not completely silent, but I’d call it quiet enough that it wouldn’t bug me in an office. The fan makes a soft whir, but it’s more of a background sound than a constant hum. I’ve had mine running while on calls and nobody noticed.

MemberI’ve got one in my office and it makes a slight hum, but it’s barely there. I’m usually pretty picky about noise and it doesn’t bother me at all.

Tom W98MemberI think it makes some noise but I’m not totally sure if mine is running right or not. It’s quiet enough that I don’t notice it when I’m actually working, so probably fine for an office.

Emma ReadsMemberI’ve noticed mine makes a soft clicking sound when it first kicks on, but after that it’s just a low hum. I’m not super sensitive to noise, but I’d say it’s fine for an office. What I actually like is that I can set it on the desk and not have it blasting right in my ear.

Tom CallMemberI think mine makes a little noise but it’s nothing crazy. I barely notice it once I’m actually working.

MemberMine makes a little noise when it first kicks on, but once it’s been running for a minute I honestly don’t notice it. I wouldn’t call it silent exactly, but it hasn’t bothered me while I’m reading or watching stuff.

d4nielParticipantIt’s not silent. Makes a low fan noise but I can barely hear it over my keyboard typing.

HanSoloParticipantIt’s not dead silent, but the noise is low enough that I forget about it after a few minutes. I wouldn’t call it a problem unless you’re really sensitive to any hum at all.

Tom BillMemberIt makes some noise, but it’s not like a loud fan or anything. If you’re really sensitive to hums it might bug you, but I forget about it after a few minutes.

TommyWiresMemberI was wondering the same thing before I got mine, so I just plugged it in and tried it out for a day. It’s not dead silent, but the noise is more of a soft whir that blends into the background pretty fast for me. I wouldn’t call it distracting unless your office is totally silent and you’re listening for it.

MemberHonestly, I’d say it’s not totally silent, but it’s more of a soft hum than anything annoying. I’ve got mine in my room and I can barely hear it over my computer fan.

MemberMine is not totally quiet but I barely notice it after a few minutes. Works fine for me.

MemberI’ve had mine running for a few days now and honestly I don’t really notice it unless the room is dead quiet. It’s there but not something that would bother me.

MemberI think it depends on how sensitive you are. Mine makes a soft hum, but I’ve got a fan running in my office anyway so I don’t really notice it.

Mike in TXMemberMine makes a little noise, but I wouldn’t call it a hum. More of a soft clicking sound when it kicks on and off. Doesn’t bother me, but I’m not super sensitive to that stuff.
