I used it on a couple of scuffs and honestly the shine is the main thing I notice too. The water beading is there but I don’t really check it closely after the first week. Works fine for what it is.
Honestly I think the vents are fine for what they are. Not gonna fix mouth breathing completely but they help with the dry mouth feeling at least. I wouldn’t overthink it.
I’d just stick it somewhere else if you’re worried. No point testing the adhesive if you don’t have to.
I’ve never bothered with the ice chamber on mine. Water alone gives you that evaporative cool-down effect, and for a desk it’s usually enough. The ice probably makes a difference if your office turns into a sauna, but I wouldn’t call it essential.

I’ve got one too. The built in cable is the main reason I grabbed it and yeah, it saves a lot of fumbling around in a bag. It gets my phone through a long day out without issue.
Mine’s been going about 10 months now with maybe 5-6 alerts a day and still shows half battery. I’d take the 2 year claim with a grain of salt, but it’s not bad for what it is.
Mine was pretty tight the first couple of nights. I just wore it for a bit before bed to get used to it, and it loosened up enough to be fine after that.
