MemberI finally stuck my ODIN SafeWave EMF on my laptop, but I noticed the adhesive gets a bit warm near the exhaust area. Has anyone had theirs peel off over time from the heat, or does it hold up okay? Just wondering before I put a second one on my tablet.

MemberI put mine on a tablet instead of a laptop for that exact reason, so I can’t say how it handles the heat. But the adhesive on mine has been fine so far with just normal warmth from charging.

Chris MillerMemberI’d be a little cautious with that. Heat and adhesive don’t usually mix well over time, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it starts peeling eventually. I’d probably skip putting one near a hot exhaust area.

MemberI stuck mine on a laptop and honestly haven’t checked it in months. It’s still there, heat vents or not. I wouldn’t overthink it, just slap it on and forget about it.

Emma ReadsMemberMine’s been on my laptop for a few months near the vent and honestly it’s still stuck fine. I don’t check it much but it hasn’t moved.

MemberI’d probably put it somewhere that doesn’t get as hot just to be safe. Not sure how much heat it can take before the adhesive gives up.

MemberI stuck mine near the vent and it’s been fine so far, maybe a few months now. Probably depends on how hot your laptop actually gets.

Mike ReynoldsMemberI’d probably just stick it somewhere cooler if you’re worried. The adhesive is supposed to handle heat, but why chance it when there’s plenty of other spots on a laptop.

Mike89ParticipantI slapped mine on a laptop and haven’t thought about it since. Still stuck on there last I looked. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Carla82MemberI’d just stick it somewhere else if you’re worried. No point testing the adhesive if you don’t have to.

Maria_BakesMemberI put mine near the vent too and it’s been holding up fine for a couple months now. I figure if it falls off I’ll just stick another one on, but so far no issues.

MemberI think people overthink it honestly. I’ve had mine near the vent for a while and it’s still stuck fine, no sign of peeling. If it ever did come off, they’re cheap enough to just replace.

MemberMine’s been on a laptop for a few months and it’s still there, no issues. I stuck it a bit off to the side of the vent just to be safe. Probably fine either way though.

MemberI stuck mine near the vent too and honestly haven’t paid much attention to it since. It’s been a few weeks and it’s still on there, so I’m not really worried about it.

MemberI’d just put it somewhere that doesn’t get as hot if you’re worried about it. No reason to stress over the adhesive when there’s plenty of other spots on a laptop.

emily_rParticipantI would just put it somewhere that doesn’t get as hot. No need to test the adhesive if you can avoid it.

MemberI put mine near the vent too and it’s been fine so far. No peeling after a few months.

MemberI think it probably depends on how hot your laptop actually runs. Mine gets warm but not scorching and the sticker is still holding up fine after a couple months.

MemberGood to know most people haven’t had issues, that makes me feel better about leaving mine where it is. I think I’ll just stop overthinking it and stick the tablet one somewhere similar and see how it goes.
