I grabbed one for a trip last spring and the smell thing is real, but only if you actually keep it charged. Mine sat dead for a week and the bottle went back to smelling like a gym sock. If plugging in a cap sounds annoying, it will be.
Mine drains faster when I leave it out in the sun, if that helps. I use it mostly inside near the back door and it holds up fine for a week or so. Temperature seems to matter more than the barking frequency for me.
I had the opposite experience honestly. The Nunawave felt less intrusive than my old pharmacy guard because it doesn’t have that hard plastic shell that always dug into my gums. Took maybe two nights to get used to, but I actually prefer the fit now.
Took me longer to get the thing out of the case than it did to get it flying. I’m not patient with setup steps, but it was pretty much unfold, connect, and go. I don’t see how you’d end up fiddling with it for an hour unless something’s actually wrong.
I keep three pairs saved on mine and switching has never been an issue for me. The only thing I noticed is that it remembers the last pair used when you reopen the app, so double check that before you start talking. Accuracy stayed the same either way in my experience.
I tried mine with a thicker shake once and it did the job, but the texture was still a bit off compared to what I’d get from an actual blender. It’s fine if you’re okay with a few tiny bits now and then. For the price and convenience, I’ll take that over hand-shaking any day, but I wouldn’t call it a smoothie maker.
I would just move it for a week and see if anything changes. That’s the only way you’ll know for sure, and it’s less work than rearranging the whole room. I had mine behind a big plant stand for a while and saw no difference, then I moved it to an open outlet near the baseboard and still saw no difference. So honestly, I don’t think the furniture matters as much as people assume. These things are so weak that placement barely seems to matter either way. The bigger issue is whether they do anything at all, and I’m still not convinced after a month. If you’re happy with it where it is, leave it. Moving it around isn’t going to suddenly make pests vanish. Either it works in your space or it doesn’t, and a couch probably isn’t the deciding factor.
If I were you, I’d just get it and use it whenever you remember. I travel for work too and my routine goes out the window half the time. I’ve been doing once a week at best for a while now and I still think my skin looks less blah than before. Not a miracle, but not nothing either.
Mine actually does the opposite. I ran it in cooling mode in a hotel room last month and the air felt drier than before, almost like a dehumidifier was running. The sticky feeling might just be how your room reacts to the temperature drop. My apartment gets that way sometimes but it’s the outside humidity coming in, not the unit itself.
It’s a fair thing to worry about. I tried one a while back and the first thing I noticed is that it’s not exactly invisible. You feel it sitting in there, especially if you have a smaller mouth. But what got me was how much the shape matters more than the size. The flexible part bends around your teeth, so it doesn’t shove your jaws apart like some night guards do. I’ve had dentist molds that were way worse.
The tradeoff for me was the weight distribution. It’s fine when you’re just sitting still or lying down, but if you try to talk or move around much, you’re very aware it’s there. I wouldn’t call it comfortable for long stretches, more like tolerable. If you’re planning to wear it while doing anything other than relaxing, that’s probably where you’ll run into trouble.

The guide sits a little differently depending on the tooth profile, but it clamps down fine and holds the angle steady.
What changed my mind was just using it a few times across both chains. The first time I used it on the .325 I expected it to feel loose or misaligned, but it didn’t. It locked on the same way and sharpened up the cutters just as evenly. I’m not saying it’ll fit some weird oddball pitch from an old antique saw, but if you’re running the usual sizes you’ll be fine.
I wouldn’t let the compatibility question stop you if that’s the main thing holding you back. It does what it says for the common sizes.
Charging it every night is probably realistic if you’re using it most of the day. I get around two full days out of mine before it yells at me for power, and that’s with maybe 6-7 hours of use per day. The 30 hour claim is technically right if you’re not wearing them constantly.
Temp changes are probably the main trigger. I’ve had it stay clear on a warm beach and then fog up on a cooler morning dive, same case, same sealing routine. I don’t think it’s a seal issue so much as just how the air inside reacts.
Depends on the day, honestly. Some days mine held up fine with the usual back and forth, other days I was hunting for an outlet by dinner. I just keep a small power bank in my bag now and stopped thinking about it.
Mine made a small difference but honestly the dry hair thing is still there. If the problem is chlorine and your water is heavy with it you’ll probably notice something. It loosens up some, but you are not going to wake up one day and feel like it is too big. I would say the real change happened between week three and four. The morning tightness went from annoying to just noticeable. It does not give much more than that, so if it is painful now, it probably will not get a whole lot better.
I used one of those ultrasonic things on my sister’s puppy when I was watching him for a week. He was about three months old, and honestly it didn’t do much except confuse him. He would stop barking for a second, look around like “what was that?”, and then go right back to whatever he was doing. The reaction was so short that it felt pointless.
What actually got through to him was just ignoring him until he shut up and then giving him attention. That took longer, sure, but it stuck. The gadget just became a weird noise that happened sometimes.
I’m not saying it’s harmful or anything, I just don’t think a puppy that young connects the sound to the barking. It’s too abstract for them. They haven’t even figured out why they bark yet, half the time they’re just testing their voice.
I’d probably put it away for a couple more months and work on basic stuff first. Once they understand “quiet” as a word, then the device might actually mean something. Otherwise you’re just pressing a button that makes a noise they don’t understand.
Pretty sure you’re fine using whatever USB-C cable you have around. These things all use the same basic charging standard, so unless the cable is completely busted it’ll charge. I’ve used random phone cables for plenty of similar gadgets and never had an issue.
Dry air is pretty much standard with any heater, so I wouldn’t single this one out. I run mine in hotel rooms and just deal with it. A humidifier or even a wet towel over a chair helps if it really bothers you.
Honestly I’d say just try it. It’s not going to cool the whole cubicle or anything, but if it’s right on your desk and pointed at you, it’ll probably take the edge off enough to make the day less annoying.
3 or 4 days with heat on sounds about right to me. I’ve noticed if I bump it to high heat it drains noticeably faster. Doesn’t seem like yours is acting weird.
