Baseus Enerfill charging my MacBook slower than expected?

I finally got the Baseus Enerfill and it works fine for my phone, but when I plug in my MacBook Pro 14 it seems slower than I thought it would be. I’m using the right USB-C port and a 100W cable, but it’s not hitting the speeds I was hoping for. Anyone else noticed this or am I just expecting too much?

Honestly mine’s been fine with my MacBook Air when I’m traveling. Not the fastest thing I’ve used but it gets the job done without any drama. I’d keep it.

I’ve been using mine with a 14” Pro for a few weeks now and it keeps up fine for me. Maybe check if your MacBook is pulling power through another port or if the cable is actually rated for 100W. I’d say it’s worth testing with a different cable before blaming the charger.

Could be the MacBook just isn’t pulling as much as you think it will with other stuff running. Mine charges fine, just not at full speed all the time.

Mine charges my 14” Pro okay, but I think it depends on what else is plugged in at the same time. I usually just use one port and it’s been fine for me.

I think part of it depends on what else you’re doing on the MacBook while it’s plugged in. I’ve noticed mine slows down noticeably if I’m running a few apps or have the screen brightness up, but if I just leave it alone it charges pretty consistently.

I’d just plug it in and not overthink it. These multi-port chargers split power around, so you’re never getting the full 100W to one device unless nothing else is drawing. It’s fine for topping up overnight or while you’re not hammering the laptop.

Works fine for me with my 14” Pro. Not gonna set any speed records but it’s never left me waiting around either.

Honestly, I think the whole “fast charging” thing with multi-port chargers is a bit overhyped. Once you plug in more than one thing, the power gets split and it’s never as quick as you expect.

I’d just try it with nothing else plugged in for a bit and see if that changes anything. That’s what I did when I wasn’t sure about mine and it helped.

I’d just check the cable too, even if it says 100W, some of them don’t actually deliver it consistently. Mine was fine once I swapped to a different cord, so it might not be the charger itself.

That’s kind of how it goes with these multi port chargers. I’ve got one and it’s fine for topping up but I wouldn’t rely on it for a super fast full charge on a laptop.

Yeah, that sounds about right. These chargers are fine for topping off but not really built for full speed on a laptop.

Mine’s been fine with my 14” Pro. Not super fast but good enough for me.

Thanks for all the replies, it’s kind of what I figured. I’ll just use it for my phone mostly and maybe top up the laptop when I’m not in a rush. Works fine for what I need.
