Hey, quick question for anyone who uses the Qinux BittOne with the TV output. Does the battery drain much faster when it’s hooked up to the TV? I’ve been playing mine handheld and it’s fine, but I’m curious if I should keep it plugged in when using the TV mode.

I’d probably just keep it plugged in. Even if it doesn’t drain super fast, you’re already sitting near a TV, so why risk it dying mid-game.

I mean, it probably drains a bit faster since it’s driving a bigger screen, but I wouldn’t overthink it. If you’re already sitting there with the TV on, just plug it in and don’t worry about it. Not really a big deal either way.

I think it probably drains a bit more since it’s pushing video out, but honestly I’ve had no issues just playing it on TV for an hour or so without charging. I usually keep it plugged in anyway if I’m near the couch, but the battery hasn’t died on me mid-session yet.

I usually just plug mine in when it’s connected to the TV. I figure if I’m already sitting there, might as well not have to worry about it running out. Works fine for me that way.

I wouldn’t overthink the battery thing. It probably drains a bit more when driving the TV, but mine lasted through a few hours of old-school platformers without dying on me. I just plug it in if I’m already near an outlet anyway.

I figure if you’re already sitting in front of the TV, plugging it in is just easier anyway. I’ve used mine a few times that way and didn’t even check the battery, just kept it charging. Works fine for me.

I usually just leave mine plugged in when I’m playing on the TV. It’s less annoying than watching the battery drop and wondering if I’ll make it through another level.

I’ve only tried mine on the TV a couple of times, but honestly I didn’t notice the battery dropping much faster than normal. Maybe it does drain a bit, but I wouldn’t stress about it unless you’re planning a marathon session.

I haven’t really noticed a huge difference myself when I’ve tried it on the TV, but I wasn’t playing for that long. Probably depends on the game too, some might be more demanding than others.

It probably depends on what you’re playing, but yeah, I’d just keep it plugged in for TV mode. Saves the hassle of watching the battery.

Honestly, after reading everyone’s replies, it sounds like I should just keep it plugged in for TV mode and not worry about it. 👍 Works for me, thanks for the input!
