I’ve been running my AiraBreeze for a few hours at a time, but with this heatwave I’m thinking of just leaving it on during the day. Anyone know if it’s actually energy-efficient enough for that? I know it’s not a real AC but I don’t want a surprise on my electric bill either.

I’ve left mine on for full 8-hour stretches a few times and didn’t notice much difference on my bill. It pulls way less power than a window unit.

Honestly, I wouldn’t stress too much about it. Even running it all day, it’s not going to spike your bill like a real AC would. It’s basically a fan with a water tank, not a power hungry machine.

Pretty much what everyone else said. I run mine all day in my office and it’s barely a blip compared to what a space heater or a real AC would cost. The bigger annoyance for me is just remembering to top off the water, not the electricity.

It’s probably fine. I think those things only pull like 50-60 watts max, which is nothing compared to a real AC. Even if you ran it 12 hours a day you’d be looking at maybe a couple bucks for the whole month.

I mean, it’s basically a fan with a wet filter, so it’s not going to wreck your bill. I’d just leave it on and stop overthinking it. The only minor annoyance is having to top up the water if you run it all day, but that’s not a power issue.

You should be fine. The thing sips power compared to a window AC or space heater. I wouldn’t worry about the bill, just keep an eye on the water so it doesn’t run dry.

I’d just leave it running if I were you. For what it does, the power draw is pretty tiny. I wouldn’t worry about the bill unless you’re also running a bunch of other stuff at the same time.

I think you’re overthinking it. If you run it on low it’s basically just a fan with a little pump, so the juice it uses is pretty negligible. I’d rather have the airflow than worry about a couple of bucks.

I get the worry, but from what I’ve seen these things are pretty gentle on power draw. I’ve run mine on and off for a few weeks now and haven’t noticed any jump in my bill, even when I forget to turn it off overnight. It’s honestly a nice bonus since it’s not like a real AC unit that sucks up juice.
