I’ve been using my WellHeater for a few days now in my bedroom and it’s been great so far. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed their skin or throat feeling a bit dry after running it for a while? I know all heaters do that to some extent, but wanted to see if it’s just me or if it’s normal with this one.

I’ve noticed it a bit too, but honestly I think that’s just what happens with any heater. I keep a glass of water on my nightstand and that seems to help enough for me. I’ve had mine running for a couple of weeks now and the dry throat thing faded after the first few days, maybe I just got used to it. I do crack the window a tiny bit before bed, not enough to make the room cold, just to keep some fresh air moving. Not totally sure if it’s the WellHeater specifically or just the season, but it hasn’t been bad enough to bother me. I’d rather have the warmth than worry about it too much.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Every heater I’ve ever used dries the air out a bit. Mine’s been running fine and it’s not like I’m waking up parched or anything.

Dry air is pretty much standard with any heater, so I wouldn’t single this one out. I run mine in hotel rooms and just deal with it. A humidifier or even a wet towel over a chair helps if it really bothers you.

It’s probably not just you, but I think it’s more about the room than the heater itself. I run mine in my office during the day and I’ve noticed the air feels a little different after a few hours, but my place is pretty dry to begin with. I wouldn’t say the WellHeater is any worse than other ones I’ve used. It’s actually been doing a solid job of keeping the room comfortable without that stuffy feeling I get from some space heaters. I just crack the window a tiny bit when I’m in there for a long stretch, and that seems to help. Otherwise, it’s been working fine for me and I’m happy with it.

Probably same as any other heater, honestly. I’ve had mine running in the living room most evenings and haven’t really noticed it being worse than my old space heater. Could just be the room size or how long you’ve got it going.

I guess I’m in the minority here, but I really haven’t noticed much dryness with mine. I’ve got it in a smaller spare room and the air feels fine to me. Maybe it just depends on how long you run it or how dry your house already is.

What I did notice is that the air in my office feels noticeably warmer faster than with my old radiator style heater, so I’m not running it as long. That probably helps with the dryness factor too, since it’s not blasting heat all evening. I think if you’re sensitive to it, a small humidifier would fix it, but I wouldn’t call this one particularly bad. It seems like a normal heater thing to me, not something specific to this unit.

Honestly, I’ve run mine in the garage while I’m out there tinkering and it’s no drier than any other heater I’ve used. My sinuses get a little annoyed if I’m right next to it for hours, but that’s pretty much par for the course with any electric heat source.

I wouldn’t stress about it. If your throat is getting scratchy, a glass of water nearby or a basic little humidifier would sort it out. It’s a decent little unit for the size, and I’d rather deal with a bit of dry air than freeze.
