I kind of doubt the hydrophobic part lasts that long based on what I’ve seen in other products. Seems like more of a marketing gimmick to me.
I figure if it works with just water, that’s probably fine for most people. The ice chamber seems like an extra thing to deal with more than anything else.
I’ve been looking at this too. Hard to tell from specs alone if it’ll really help on the hottest nights.
I have a different take honestly. The AiraBreeze actually helps a bit in my humid room, it’s not making things worse for me. I think the moving air still feels cooler even if the moisture level goes up a little.
I only use the handle maybe twice a week, so maybe that’s why it hasn’t bothered me. Feels fine for a quick scan.
I’ve only tried it with a thin cashmere blend, so I can’t really speak for thick wool. It seemed fine for what I used though.
I’d still give it a shot. Even with no ceiling insulation, it’ll cool down the area right around you.
I think any decent class 10 card should be fine for 4K on that camera. I wouldn’t bother with an old one you have lying around though, just grab a new one to be safe.
I just use tap water in mine and it’s fine for a little airflow. I actually prefer it that way because I don’t have to mess with ice.
I’m curious about the shape more than the cooling, honestly. The butterfly contour looks like it might help with my neck.
I was wondering the same thing before I got mine. It’s really just Bluetooth, so once the bag is out of that range you won’t see anything live. The last location is usually enough for me though.
Huh, I never really thought about phone position causing it. Maybe it’s just the cable getting bumped or something.
Thanks for all the replies. Sounds like it might be hit or miss, but I think I’ll give the TV mode a try and just see how it goes for me.
I’ve been wondering the same thing. The size is tempting but I feel like you’re probably giving up more than just battery life with something that folds down that small.
