MemberI’m looking at the AerioQ for my bedroom this summer. Just wondering if anyone here has used it for cooling a small room, like maybe 12×12 feet. I don’t need it to freeze me out, just take the edge off on hot nights.

techguy22ParticipantFor a 12×12 bedroom it should be fine. I’ve used mine in a slightly smaller room and it takes the edge off pretty quick. Not gonna freeze you out but it handles those sticky nights.

Mike89ParticipantI think it’d probably do the job. I got one for a room around that size and it keeps things comfortable enough on warm nights. Not totally sure how it would handle a heatwave though.

Daniele RossiMemberI’ve had mine running in a room about that size and it cuts the humidity enough to make a difference. Not gonna blast cold air everywhere, but it takes the sticky edge off. I’d say it’s worth it for summer nights.

SarahMParticipantI’d probably just try it and see. Worse case you return it if it doesn’t cut it, but for a room that size it should be fine.

Lily___MemberI’ve been looking at this too. Hard to tell from specs alone if it’ll really help on the hottest nights.

MemberHuh, I’ve got one but I haven’t really used it on a really hot night yet. Hard to say for sure how it would do.

MemberI think for a 12×12 room it should be fine. I’ve got one in my office and it handles the heat alright.

MemberI’m in the same boat, wondering if it’ll actually handle the really sticky nights. The timer function seems useful for bedtime, but I’m not sure how much difference the quiet airflow mode makes when it’s actually working hard.

MemberI think for just taking the edge off it would probably do what you need. The timer is nice for bedtime so you can set it and not worry about it running all night. Honestly I wouldn’t expect it to feel like a full AC unit but for a small room it might be enough.

Matt__MemberI skimmed through this and honestly, for a 12×12 room it should handle taking the edge off just fine. The timer is a nice touch for overnight use, you can set it and not worry about it running all night. I’d say give it a shot if you’re not expecting arctic level cooling.

MemberI’d be more concerned about how well the room holds its temperature than the unit itself. If your insulation is mediocre, no wall mount is going to do much.

MemberI’ve had mine for a few weeks and it’s been fine for knocking the sticky out of the air at night. I wouldn’t expect it to turn the room into a fridge, but for a 12×12 space it does the job.

MemberAppreciate all the input, sounds like it’ll do what I need for those sticky nights. I’ll probably just grab one and see how it goes.
