Looking at the MixMate but I keep seeing it uses 2 replaceable batteries. Is there a specific type or brand I need to get for it to work right, or can I just grab whatever’s cheapest? Don’t want to buy it and then find out it needs some specialty battery I can’t find easily.

I just grabbed whatever AA’s I had lying around and it worked fine. I wouldn’t overthink it.

It’s just standard AAs. No special brand needed, I grabbed whatever was on sale and it’s been fine. The thing is pretty simple, not like it needs fancy batteries to spin a little magnet.

I’d actually say it does matter a little bit, at least from what I’ve seen. Cheaper batteries seem to die way faster in mine, so I wouldn’t just grab the absolute cheapest pack. Doesn’t need to be a fancy brand, but maybe avoid the no-name dollar store ones.
