I’ve been getting random disconnects with Android Auto lately. Noticed it happens more when my phone is in the passenger seat instead of the center console cubby. Could the distance or angle from the head unit actually cause this? Wondering if anyone else found a sweet spot for where they put the phone.

I’ve had the same thing happen with my phone in the passenger seat, but honestly it could just be the cable getting jostled at a bad angle. Hard to say if it’s the distance or just bad luck with interference.

Huh, I never really thought about phone position causing it. I usually just toss mine in the cup holder and it’s been fine for me, so maybe it’s just a cable thing like you said? Hard to tell sometimes lol.

Never really thought about it that much. I usually just leave my phone in my pocket or toss it on the passenger seat and it works fine for me. Might just be the cable acting up like others said.

I just keep mine in the cupholder most of the time and haven’t really had issues with it cutting out. Could be the cable more than the spot you pick, but I never tested it that hard.

I think people overthink this one. I just leave mine in my pocket or toss it on the passenger seat and it works fine most of the time. Maybe your cable is just loose or going bad.

Guess I’ll just keep it in the cubby and stop moving it around. Probably the cable getting bent was most of it anyway.
