I run mine in the living room during the day and haven’t really noticed it being worse than any other heater. My throat gets a bit scratchy if I sit right next to it for hours, but that’s about it. Could just be the room size or how long I have it on…
Can’t say it bothers me much. I run mine on the timer in the living room and the click is just part of it turning off. I’d rather have that than it just silently stopping and me wondering if it actually shut down.
Mine warms up noticeably in under two minutes. Not instant like magic, but fast enough that I don’t mind waiting. I mostly use it to take the chill off my desk area without heating the whole room.
I turned the heat on once and honestly couldn’t tell much difference. Doesn’t bother me though, the traction is what I bought it for anyway.
I’d probably just set it for 2 hours and see what happens. If it shuts off when I expect it, good enough.
I’m kind of in the same boat, wondering how much you can really lean on it offline. It seems like it works for short exchanges but I wouldn’t bet on it handling a whole real conversation smoothly.
I just wait until the water starts tasting a little off, that usually gives me an extra couple of weeks without any issues. The 4 week thing feels like a safe bet for heavy users, but for light use it’s fine to stretch it.
Thanks for the input everyone. Sounds like if your water’s already soft you’re not missing much, which is pretty much what I was thinking. I’ll probably just keep using it until the filter runs out and see how I feel then.
I think it’s mostly fine. Mine gets used a couple times a week and I haven’t seen any real drain. Could be yours is just a little off.
I think people overthink the card thing a bit. A decent class 10 is fine but I wouldn’t use some ancient card you found in a drawer either.
I think people overthink this stuff. If you want a consistent angle without fussing with a file, it’s fine. Not life changing but not a waste either.
