MemberI’ve been using the Back Restore for about a week now and the traction part seems fine, but I’m not sure the heat does much. Anyone else feel like it’s barely warm? Maybe I got a dud or the heat mode is just there to look good on the box.

Mike in TXMemberThe heat is definitely mild, not what I’d call hot, but it’s enough to take the edge off while the traction is doing its thing. I think it’s more of a complementary feature than a standalone heater, so it’s not completely useless.

MemberI get what you’re saying, the heat is pretty subtle. I think it’s more of a gentle warmth to relax the muscles a bit while the traction does the main work. Not gonna replace a heating pad or anything, but it’s fine for what it is.

MemberI kind of wonder if the heat is more for the placebo effect than actual therapy. Like it feels nice to know it’s there, but I doubt it’s doing much for muscle tension compared to a real heating pad.

MemberI’d probably still use it even if the heat wasn’t super strong. For me it’s more about the traction anyway, so the warmth is just a nice bonus.

MemberI turned the heat on once and honestly couldn’t tell much difference. Doesn’t bother me though, the traction is what I bought it for anyway.

MemberI kind of like that it’s subtle, actually. If it was really hot I’d probably get uncomfortable lying on it for a full session.
18 de July de 2026 at 13:11 #5439Mike Jensen
MemberI doubt it’s a dud, mine is the same way. I just turn it on anyway and forget about it after a minute or two.

MemberI’m with you, it’s not exactly toasty, but I think that’s on purpose so you don’t cook yourself during a session. I just leave mine on and figure any bit of warmth is better than nothing while I’m lying there. Doesn’t hurt the experience for me.

KhanMemberI think the heat is just a low level thing by design. It’s not going to feel like a heating pad but it takes the edge off.

MemberI get why people say it’s subtle, but I actually notice it if I’m really tense. It’s not going to replace a heating pad, but it helps take the edge off while the traction does its thing. Mine works fine, so I wouldn’t worry about it being a dud.

MemberHuh, I had mine for a couple weeks before I even noticed the heat setting. I usually just lay on it and watch TV, so it’s not something I pay much attention to. It does feel a little warmer than the floor, but I’d never call it hot or anything. Doesn’t bother me though, I’m just using it for the stretch.

MemberI mean, it’s not like it’s gonna cook you, but I do notice it a little if I’m cold. Probably not the main selling point though.

MemberI can see why people think it’s underwhelming, but I noticed it more when I used it on a colder floor. The heat feels a bit stronger when the room is chilly, so it’s probably just designed to be a gentle warmth rather than anything intense.

MemberI usually just turn the heat on because it’s there and figure it can’t hurt. For me it’s more about the traction doing the work anyway.

MemberI dunno, maybe I’m not paying enough attention but I barely notice the heat either. The traction part actually does something for my back though, so I don’t really care if the heat is weak.

MemberI’ve had mine for a few weeks and honestly I barely notice the heat either. I just leave it on because it’s there, but it’s not like I’d buy it again just for that feature. The traction part is what actually does the work anyway.

MemberThe heat’s definitely subtle, not a dud. I think it’s more for comfort than deep therapy, kinda like a heating pad you barely notice until you turn it off.
19 de July de 2026 at 07:10 #5483Ben Harlow
MemberGuess that answers it. The heat is barely there for me too but if other people notice it more in a cold room then I guess it’s not broken. Whatever, the traction is what I bought it for anyway.
