Hey everyone, thinking about getting a Brita pitcher but I’m wondering about the filter change schedule. The product says every 4 weeks or 150 liters, but that seems pretty frequent if you don’t use it that much. Do people actually stick to that or do you go longer? Just trying to figure out if the ongoing cost is reasonable before I grab one.

I just wait until the water starts tasting a little off, that usually gives me an extra couple of weeks without any issues. The 4 week thing feels like a safe bet for heavy users, but for light use it’s fine to stretch it.

I dunno, I actually kind of disagree. I tried stretching mine out and after about six weeks the water just tasted kind of blah to me. Not gross, just not as crisp. So I just stuck with the four week thing after that.
