MemberI got the Qinux AquaSylk a few weeks ago. My water is already pretty soft so I’m not sure if the filtration is doing much. Anyone else with soft water notice a difference or is it mainly for hard water areas?

MemberI was wondering the same thing before I bought mine. My water’s on the softer side too and honestly I mostly notice a difference in how my hair dries less frizzy, not so much the water itself. Could just be placebo though.

Luis_A91MemberHonestly, even with soft water you’re still getting chlorine out, and that alone made a difference for my skin. I’d keep it.

MemberI think it still helps with the chlorine smell and any random stuff in the water. I noticed my skin wasn’t as dry after showers, even with soft water.

MemberLots of people seem to focus on the hair or skin stuff, but for me the difference was just that the water doesn’t smell like a pool anymore. If your water’s already soft you might not care, but that chlorine taste/smell was driving me nuts. It’s a shower head, not a miracle worker.

Dani MoonMemberI mean if your water’s already soft you’re probably not gonna see night and day results. The chlorine thing is real though, even soft water has that stuff in it. Depends if that bothers you enough to pay for the filter.

MemberIf your water’s already soft, you’re probably not missing much. The chlorine thing is whatever to me, I barely noticed a difference. Seems like one of those products that’s way more useful if you’ve got hard water problems. I’d say don’t overthink it, it’s just a shower head.

MemberI think it probably depends on what bugs you about your water. If you don’t notice a strong chlorine smell or any dryness, you might not see a huge change.

AnnaKParticipantHuh, I didn’t really think about it for soft water, but the pressure boost alone made it feel like a different shower for me. Works fine as a regular shower head upgrade.

MemberI skimmed through and it seems like most people with soft water aren’t blown away by it. I think if you’re not noticing a chlorine smell or dryness, you’re probably not missing much.

Tom RayMemberI noticed the water felt less heavy on my skin after a few days, even though my area’s water is already on the softer side. Could just be the chlorine thing people mention, but there’s a slight difference in how my hair dries now. Not a huge deal, but it’s not nothing either.

JSmithParticipantI know a couple people with soft water who got it mainly for the chlorine taste and smell, and they said it helped. If that doesn’t bother you, it probably won’t feel like a must-have.

MemberThanks for the input everyone. Sounds like if your water’s already soft you’re not missing much, which is pretty much what I was thinking. I’ll probably just keep using it until the filter runs out and see how I feel then.
