Okay so I’m still trying to decide if I should get the Omnihear, and one thing I keep wondering about is the battery. They say 30+ hours, but is that realistic with like normal daily use, maybe a few hours at a time? I don’t want to be charging it every single night if I forget. Anyone know how it actually holds up?

Charging it every night is probably realistic if you’re using it most of the day. I get around two full days out of mine before it yells at me for power, and that’s with maybe 6-7 hours of use per day. The 30 hour claim is technically right if you’re not wearing them constantly.

Mine usually lasts about two and a half days with a few hours of evening use, mostly for TV and dinner out. I never charge it nightly unless I’ve had it in for a solid full day. The 30 hour claim is a bit optimistic, but it’s not a daily chore by any means.

I just charge mine when it gets low and don’t count the hours. I use mine off and on through the day, not all day, and I get a good stretch out of it. Charging every night would annoy me too, but I haven’t had to do that.

I’ve had mine for a few months now and I’m a pretty light user, maybe an hour or two in the mornings and again at night. I honestly don’t even think about the battery, it just keeps going for days. I only charge it when I remember to, which is probably every 3 or 4 days.

I’d say the 30 hours is probably if you’re not using it constantly. I do a few hours here and there, like errands and chatting with neighbors, and I’m landing around three days before I notice it dropping. I just pop it on the charger when I think about it, not every night.

Mine goes a solid three days and I don’t even charge it every night.

I don’t track the hours on mine but the battery is not something I think about much. I wear them for a few hours in the afternoon while working in the garage or running errands, and I can go several days before I remember to toss them on the charger. It’s pretty forgiving if you forget.

I must be the odd one out here because mine dies way faster than that. I use mine maybe three or four hours spread out over the day, and I’m charging it every other day at most. The 30 hour claim never held up for me. I don’t think it’s a defect, just how I use it.

Honestly it’s been fine for me. I put mine in for a couple hours at a time, a few times a day, and I only charge it every two or three days. It never feels like a hassle. I was expecting to be plugging it in all the time but that hasn’t been the case.

I think for the way most people actually use these things, the battery is fine. I don’t wear mine all day, I pop them in when I need them and leave them in the case otherwise. If you’re the type who forgets to charge stuff, you’ll probably still be fine here. I charge mine every couple of days and haven’t had a dead battery moment yet.

Mine lasts longer than I expected but I think it depends on how often you actually have them in. I tend to use mine mostly for TV in the evenings and they go for close to a week that way. The charging case is small enough that I just toss it in my nightstand and plug it in when I remember. Forgetting one night has never left me stuck.

I barely get a day and a half out of mine and I don’t even use them that heavy. The 30 hour claim always made me wonder what kind of magic testing they did. If you’re someone who remembers to charge things, you’ll be fine, but if you’re forgetful like me it gets a little annoying.

It’s been fine for me. I charge it every few days and I use it on and off most of the day.

Mine lasts a couple days of normal on-off use. I just charge it when I notice it getting low, not on a schedule. Never had it die on me mid-day.

That 30 hour claim seems optimistic to me, I get closer to a day and a half.

I usually get close to that 30 hours but I also don’t wear them nonstop. It’s more like 2 to 3 days before I need to charge, and I just throw them in the case when I think about it. If you’re someone who wears them all waking hours, you’ll probably charge nightly anyway.

The 30 hour claim probably assumes they sit in the case most of the day. If you’re actually wearing them for hours at a time, I’d plan on charging every couple of days. I just toss mine on the charger when I take them out for the night, so it’s never been an issue.
