Has anyone else noticed their AerioQ makes the air feel a little humid in cooling mode? Maybe I’m just imagining it, but the room feels slightly sticky after running it for a while. It’s not a big deal, just wondering if it’s normal or if I should adjust something.

Mine does the same thing. Noticed it after running it for a few hours on a humid day. The air felt heavier than before I switched it on. I just assumed it’s how the thing works and stopped caring.

Could be normal. My unit does the same thing if the room is already humid. It pulls moisture out of the air but the airflow makes it feel heavier.

I usually crack a window for a few minutes or just run it shorter. Not something I’d worry about unless you see actual condensation on the walls.

Mine actually does the opposite. I ran it in cooling mode in a hotel room last month and the air felt drier than before, almost like a dehumidifier was running. The sticky feeling might just be how your room reacts to the temperature drop. My apartment gets that way sometimes but it’s the outside humidity coming in, not the unit itself.

I’ve definitely noticed that with mine too. It’s not super strong or anything, but after a few hours the room does feel a bit heavier than before. I just assumed it was because the air isn’t moving as much in a smaller space. Doesn’t bother me much either, but you’re not imagining it.

I haven’t run mine long enough in cooling mode to notice much difference, but I’ve been close to pulling the trigger on buying one for a while now. This thread is helpful because I’d probably assume I was doing something wrong if I felt the same thing. Curious if a dehumidifier in the same room would fix it or if it’s just the nature of the unit.

I run mine mostly at night and noticed the same thing, but honestly I think it’s just the airflow keeping the humidity from settling. Doesn’t bother me much since it cools the room fine.

Mine has been fine in that regard, but I also keep it on the lower fan setting most of the time. I could see the higher airflow making the room feel a bit sticky if there’s any humidity hanging around. Maybe try that before adjusting anything else.

I get why you’d notice it, but mine’s been fine in that regard. I run it in the bedroom most nights and haven’t felt any extra stickiness in the air, even after leaving it on for a few hours. Could be the room size or how much you’re running it, but I’d say it’s not something I’d worry about.

I’d probably give it a little more time before changing anything. I’ve had units like this where the first few runs left things feeling a bit off, and then it settled down once the room and the unit got used to each other. That sticky feeling can also just be the room itself, especially if it’s got poor airflow or you’re running it with the door closed for hours.

If it keeps happening after a few more sessions, maybe check if you’ve got it on the lowest fan setting. I’ve noticed that when I run mine on a slower airflow, the moisture doesn’t get moved around as much, and it feels more humid near the unit even though the air is actually cooler. Crank it up a notch and see if that changes things. Otherwise, I wouldn’t mess with it too much unless it starts actually dripping or leaving visible moisture on surfaces.
