MemberGot my AerioQ set up in the bedroom, works fine so far. But I noticed when the timer shuts it off, there’s a click sound from the unit. Anyone else hear that, or is it just mine?

L_ParkerMemberMine does the same thing. I think it’s just the relay inside switching off, pretty standard for this kind of unit. Doesn’t bother me, and it’s been running fine for a couple months now.

MemberMine makes that click too, I noticed it the first night. Doesn’t really bug me though, I just figure it’s the unit finishing up whatever it needs to do. It’s quiet enough that I barely hear it anymore.

MemberIt’s probably just the relay. Most units with a timer make some kind of noise when they cut power. If it’s not rattling or buzzing the rest of the time, I wouldn’t lose sleep over it.

MemberThat clicking is just the internal relay opening when the timer cuts the power. Totally normal for this type of unit. I barely notice it anymore since it blends in with the other little sounds the house makes at night.

Laura CheckMemberI only noticed it a couple of times when the timer kicked in at night. It’s kind of a subtle click, more noticeable when the room is quiet. I just assumed it was part of the normal shutoff process, but I haven’t really looked into it.

Tom W98MemberIt’s probably just the relay clicking over. Most stuff with a timer does that when it cuts power. I wouldn’t lose sleep over it unless it starts doing it randomly all the time.

MemberMine clicks too when the timer shuts it off. I just assumed it was normal since it happens every time. Honestly I’d be more worried if it started making noise while running, but a quick click at the end doesn’t seem like a big deal to me.

MemberSame here, noticed it the other night when the timer shut it off. I figured it was just the unit clicking off, doesn’t really bother me.

MemberCan’t say I’ve got that issue with mine. Timer shuts it off and it’s pretty quiet, maybe a faint hum but nothing that sounds like a click. Could be a quirk of your unit, but I wouldn’t worry unless it gets louder or starts doing it randomly.

MemberHonestly I hadn’t really thought about it until I read this. Mine does it too but I’m usually half asleep when the timer kicks in so it just blends in with everything else lol. I kinda like it though since it lets me know it actually shut off.

MemberI keep seeing people say theirs clicks and honestly I’m not convinced that’s just how it’s supposed to be. Mine doesn’t make any noise when the timer cuts it off, and I’ve had it running for a few months now. Maybe it’s a batch thing or something with how it’s mounted, but I wouldn’t just assume it’s normal without checking.

MemberCould be anything inside the unit, hard to say from here. As long as it’s not rattling or getting worse, I would not worry about it. Mine does a little something when it shuts off too, but it’s not loud enough to bother me.

Lisa HallMemberIt clicks here too, but I stopped noticing after a few days. Probably just the relay or whatever switching off inside. If it works fine otherwise I wouldn’t lose sleep over it.

MemberCan’t say it bothers me much. I run mine on the timer in the living room and the click is just part of it turning off. I’d rather have that than it just silently stopping and me wondering if it actually shut down.

MemberMine does the same thing. I figured it was just the internal switch or something doing its job when the power cuts. Noticed it once or twice but it never really stuck out as a problem. Unless it starts getting louder or sounds off, I wouldn’t think twice about it.

MemberMine clicks too, but I always figured it was just the internal relay doing its thing when the timer cuts power. I wouldn’t worry about it unless it starts getting louder or the unit acts weird after it clicks. These things are pretty simple.

MemberGood to know it’s not just mine then. I’ll probably stop noticing it after a while too. As long as it keeps working, I’m not going to worry about it.
