I’ve been using the Dustaclean for quick messes around the house and it’s been fine for crumbs and stuff. But I was thinking about trying it in the car for the cup holders and crevices. Is it actually small enough to get in there, or am I expecting too much? I don’t want to make a mess trying to clean one.

The crevice nozzle is what you want for cup holders. It reaches down in there fine without kicking stuff around. I’ve used mine on the car vents too and it does the job.

It handles the cup holders fine, just don’t expect it to reach deep under the seats.

Mine fits fine, I just angle it a bit and it gets the crumbs out.

Mine actually struggled with the deeper cup holders in my car, it just couldn’t get the stuff at the very bottom.

It is small enough for the nozzle, yeah, but the shape of the holder matters more than the vacuum. I tried mine in a few different cars. In one it got everything out no problem. In another, the holder was too deep and narrow, so the nozzle hit the bottom edge before it could actually reach the crumbs sitting in the corner. That was frustrating because I could see the stuff right there.

I think it just depends on your specific car. If the holder is shallow and wide, you’re fine. If it’s one of those tall skinny ones, you might have to tilt it and hope for the best. Not a dealbreaker for me since I mainly use it for the house, but I would not buy it just for car duty.

I think people expect it to be a miracle worker sometimes. It is a tiny vacuum, so you have to work with it a bit. Cup holders are doable, but I found I just need to go slow and tilt it around to get the corners. Otherwise I end up pushing the dirt in a circle.

I think cup holders are kind of hit or miss depending on how deep they are. Mine handled the shallow ones in my center console, but I didn’t even bother with the ones in the doors since they’re pretty narrow. It’s fine for a quick touch-up, but I wouldn’t expect it to get into every little corner.

I wouldn’t bother. Cup holders are shallow enough that you’ll be fighting the thing the whole time. Just keep a couple of napkins in the door pocket and wipe them out when you get gas. Less hassle than that little vacuum.

Mine gets in there fine, it’s just a pain to maneuver around the gear shifter. I bought it for the house, not to be a car detailing tool. Works okay if you angle the nozzle right, but I wouldn’t buy it just for that.

I gave it a shot in mine and it actually worked okay, but my cup holders are pretty wide and shallow. The narrow nozzle fits, but if you’ve got one of those deep wells with a rubber insert at the bottom, you’re probably going to be fishing stuff out by hand anyway.

I have to disagree with the people saying it won’t fit. I keep mine in the glove box specifically for this and it does a great job on my cup holders. The slim nozzle gets down in there without any issue for me, even with the little grippy things at the bottom. I just use it after my kids leave their snack messes everywhere.

Appreciate all the input, everyone. Sounds like it really depends on the car and the holder, which is kind of what I figured. I might just give it a go on a shallow one and see what happens before I write it off.
