Pretty sure that’s just normal. Mine does the same thing if I don’t have the hose fully open. Still works great for cleaning the patio and driveway though.
15 mins sounds short but for a small patio and a quick car dust-off it’s honestly enough. I’ve used mine for similar quick jobs and never felt like I was racing the battery. You just have to keep it on the lower speed setting if you want a bit more time.
