Been thinking about getting a MixMate to avoid stirring my coffee at work. It seems convenient, but I’m cautious about how loud these things are in a shared space. If you use one at the office, is the motor noticeable during quiet moments or meetings? How long does the battery last for you in everyday use, and is cleaning it a hassle? Practical, real-world impressions would be helpful.

Been using MixMate at my desk for a couple weeks. Motor is a quiet whirr, only noticeable if the room is totally silent and you’re right next to it, so meetings weren’t an issue. Battery lasts several days with daily use and cleaning is just a rinse and quick scrub.

I use one at my desk and it’s fine most days, it gets a bit noisier if you whip up protein shakes instead of just coffee. Battery lasts me about a week with morning use so I only charge it occasionally. Cleaning is easy overall but the rim/underside of the lid collects gunk and needs a little brush sometimes.

Worked fine for me but I think the motor can stand out in really quiet meetings, maybe depends how close you are. Battery could be better though, I end up charging every few days.

Does the job mixing coffee. Lid seal is sketchy and it leaked once when I nudged it on my desk. Plastic smell faded after a few hand washes, I think.

I use mine at my desk and the motor usually just blends into the general office noise. In really quiet meetings or if someone is sitting right next to you the higher-pitched whir can be noticeable.

Cleaning’s not bad. I rinse it right after use and give the little rim near the motor a quick scrub now and then, no drama.

Thanks for the replies. I’m not convinced the motor really fades into the background, and with the leak reports I’m leaning toward skipping it for now.

Personally I wouldn’t worry about noise that much. The motor isn’t silent but it’s not like you’re running a blender. Battery life has been fine for me too, lasts a few days of normal use. I’d say give it a shot if the convenience matters to you.

I keep mine in my bag and use it at my desk most days. The motor is noticeable if the room goes dead quiet, but in a normal office it just blends in. Battery wise I swap the batteries maybe every three weeks or so with daily use. Cleaning is fine, I just rinse it out and run the self clean cycle once a week.
