Got a SpyFocus for keeping an eye on the dog during the day. Works fine for live streaming and the night vision is decent enough for my hallway. But the motion alerts seem to trigger every time a car passes outside the window. Anyone know if you can dial down the sensitivity in the app without turning it off completely?

Honestly, I think I remember seeing a slider for motion sensitivity somewhere in the settings but I never really messed with it myself. I mostly just use mine in a room with no windows so I don’t get those false alarms. Hope you can find it without too much digging.

Honestly I haven’t really had that issue with mine. It picks up my dog moving around but ignores street stuff pretty well. Maybe my window placement is just lucky.

Yeah, I think you can turn it down in the settings somewhere. I remember messing with mine because it kept catching my ceiling fan. Not totally sure where exactly but it’s in the motion detection menu, just slide it down a bit.

I haven’t messed with the sensitivity settings much, but I think there’s a slider in the motion detection section of the app. It’s buried in the settings menu, not super obvious. Mine still catches a few false alerts from cars, but turning it down a notch helped cut that down for me. Works well enough for my setup.

Yeah there’s a slider in the app settings for motion sensitivity. I turned mine down a notch or two and it stopped picking up every shadow and headlight. Still catches the dog moving around so it’s a decent trade off.

Honestly, I wouldn’t overthink it too much. The motion alerts on mine are a bit jumpy too but for just checking in on the dog during the day it still does what I need. It’s not perfect but it’s fine for a quick peek.

Mine’s pretty sensitive too but honestly I don’t mess with the settings much. It still catches the dog fine and the false alerts don’t bother me that much.

Hmm, I haven’t messed with the sensitivity slider much myself, but I can see why that would get annoying with the street traffic. For me, the false alerts haven’t been a huge deal since I mainly use it to check if the dog got off the couch, and it’s been reliable enough for that.
