Got the Qinux BarkBuz a few days ago. Seems fine for loud barks but misses the quieter ones sometimes. Anyone else notice that or is mine just weird?

I think maybe the sensitivity just isn’t that great on the lower end. Mine seems to catch some quieter ones but not all, so it might just be how it works. Not totally sure if your unit is off or if that’s normal.

Not sure if it’s the quiet ones it’s missing or if my dog just doesn’t bark that softly. I haven’t really played with the settings much yet.

Guess it just depends on the dog. Mine barks loud enough that I haven’t noticed it missing anything yet.

I only got mine a few days ago too so I haven’t really tested it enough to say for sure. It caught my dog’s yappy barks fine so far but I haven’t heard the quieter ones to compare. Could just be the way yours is positioned or something maybe.

I think it really depends on what kind of barking your dog does. Maybe the quieter ones just aren’t loud enough to trigger it consistently. Not totally sure if that’s a flaw or just how it works.

Could it be that the quieter ones just don’t carry far enough to trigger it? I haven’t messed with mine enough to know if there’s a setting for that. Seems like it works fine for the main barking though.

I think it’s probably not a huge deal honestly. Mine seems to catch the main barks and that’s good enough for me. Maybe the quieter ones just aren’t meant to be picked up every time.

Honestly, I think it’s probably fine. My dog’s barks aren’t super loud either and mine hasn’t missed any yet. Maybe yours just needs a bit more time to pick up on the softer ones.

Honestly, I wouldn’t overthink it. If it catches the loud ones that’s probably all that matters.

I’d say just give it a little more time and see if it adjusts. Mine seemed to get better after a few days.

I’d probably just leave it where it can hear the main barks and not worry too much about the quiet ones. Mine picks up enough to feel like it’s doing something useful around the house.

I think some of it might just be how the mic picks up different frequencies. Mine catches the low rumbly barks fine but seems to ignore the higher pitched yaps sometimes. Not sure if that’s by design or just how it works.

Maybe the quieter ones just don’t trip the sensor the same way. Mine works fine for the loud stuff too, which is all I really needed it for.

Fair enough. I’ll stop overthinking it and just see how it goes for a bit longer.

Mine misses plenty too, but it still does what I need it to.
