EthanFreeMemberBeen looking at the Qinux Klampero for keeping my chainsaw sharp. It seems easy to attach and the guide helps a lot, but I’m not sure how consistent I’ll get with practice. Anyone used it on different chains or for regular maintenance? Would it be okay for occasional yard work or should I stick to a bench sharpener?

Luis_A91MemberI disagree a bit, it actually gives surprisingly consistent angles once you get the rhythm down. For weekend yard jobs it was more than good enough for me.

Mar__kusMemberThe guide makes nailing the angle pretty straightforward, you just need steady pressure and pace to keep results consistent.

HanSoloParticipantSounds handy, but I’m skeptical a handheld guide will hold perfect tooth-to-tooth consistency. For anything more than occasional trimming I’d trust a bench setup.

RyanTParticipantLooks like a handy little tool for casual upkeep, the guide should help keep angles consistent. Good for quick touch ups between full sharpening.

MemberI’ve had one for a while and it’s handy to slap on for a quick refresh instead of dragging out the bench. It won’t replace a pro setup for totally ruined chains, but it keeps stuff cutting and is easy to carry around. I’d keep it in the shed.

MemberI think it’s fine for what you’re describing. For occasional yard work you probably won’t notice much difference from a bench sharpener.

Mike TurnerMemberIt’ll probably be fine for what you’re doing. I wouldn’t overthink it for occasional yard work.
