LauTopMemberBeen using the BareEarth Grounding Mat for a couple months at my desk and in bed. It does seem to calm me down and I sleep a bit better with it under the sheets. Setup is easy, but you do need a properly grounded outlet which was a pain to sort out in one room. The mat is soft and machine washable, though the cord feels a bit flimsy and I wish it were longer. Anyone else using theirs mainly for meditation or naps?

no_sleepParticipantCord felt flimsy and way too short for my setup, made placement annoying. Still kept it though, mat itself is nice enough.

northshoreParticipantBeen using mine for a while and it does help me wind down, yet that cord is awful, thin and not long enough to hide comfortably. I had to fiddle with the outlet cover once which felt like a pain. If they upgraded the cord I’d be way less annoyed.

L_ParkerMemberSeems like it helps some folks, but I’m skeptical the grounding claim does more than placebo. The short flimsy cord complaint sounds totally valid.

MemberTotally agree about the cord — feels a bit flimsy and I wish it were longer. Still, it’s held up fine for me so I just plug it in and forget about it.

Dani MoonMemberI bought one and I think it calms me during short breaks, maybe mostly placebo, but the cord definitely feels cheap and too short.

Tom in NYCMemberI use mine mostly for naps on the couch and it does seem to help me drop off faster. The cord length hasn’t been an issue for me since I just plug it into a nearby strip.

MemberThe cord is definitely cheap, but I just tucked mine under a rug and forgot about it. I mostly use it when I’m reading, not really for naps or meditation. Works fine for that, though I’m still not convinced it’s doing much more than making me sit still for a bit.

RyanTParticipantI mostly use mine during short meditation sessions and it does feel like it helps me settle in quicker. Not sure if that’s the grounding or just the routine, but I’ll take it.

pixelnomadParticipantI think the flimsy cord thing gets blown out of proportion, mine has been fine for months with daily use. Not sure I’d call it a dealbreaker.

LauTopMemberGood to see I wasn’t alone on the cord thing. I think it works fine for what it is, and I stopped worrying about it after a while.

Matt__MemberI actually haven’t had any issues with the cord at all. I just snake it behind my desk and forget about it. Honestly I think it works fine for what it is, and I’d still buy it again.
