I noticed the same thing the first few times I used mine. After a handful of sessions it didn’t really bother me anymore.
Appreciate the replies. Sounds like most people aren’t finding them too small unless your hands are genuinely huge. I’ll probably just grab a pair and see how it goes, not worth overthinking for the price.
I think the flickering thing is probably more about your brain wanting to see a change than the device actually doing much. Those lights are usually just reacting to stuff like your fridge or AC kicking on, and a plug-in box isn’t going to rewire your whole house. But if it makes you feel better and you’re not out a ton of money, it’s not really hurting anything either.
Not sure I’d count on it for a drafty room. These things are decent for bumping up the temp a bit but they’re not going to fight a constant leak of cold air. You’d probably be better off just blocking the draft first.
I think it’s probably just the material warming up from regular use. Not totally sure it’s something to worry about unless it actually stops sealing right.
The app layout difference is the only thing that would bug me personally, not the translation itself. I just prefer things to look consistent when I’m switching between devices.
I tried both. Shelf was fine for my room, but the wall mount definitely felt like it pushed the air around better instead of just blasting right past me.
I don’t think you’re overthinking it. That’s just what evaporative coolers do—they add moisture, so if the air is already sticky, you’re not getting any real cooling benefit, just more humidity. Running it without water in the tank turns it into a basic fan, which is probably the better move in a muggy room.
It’s probably just the learning period. 150 miles before it figures out how you drive is a long time to smooth out. I’d just drive it normally and see if it goes away.
I’d probably just try it and see. Even if the pads shift a little, they usually still make contact enough to feel the pulses. Neck and shoulders move a lot anyway, so I wouldn’t expect them to stay perfectly flat the whole time.
A lot of people seem to expect it to cool the whole room, but I think that’s missing the point. I just keep mine pointed at my face while I work and it’s noticeably cooler than just a fan alone.
I can see why people say that. Heat hitting you directly always feels more intense than cool air slowly spreading. But if you’re expecting this to drop the room temperature like a window AC, I think you’d be disappointed. It’s more of a spot cooler than a room cooler.
I’ve seen a few people try stuff like that on matte finishes and it’s kind of a gamble. The NanoPolix is basically a mild abrasive cloth, so it might take the shine off the dull look you want. Not sure I’d risk it on a bike unless you test it somewhere hidden first.
High works fine. Took me a couple passes on the really nasty spots, but it got there. Not a big deal.
I’ve used mine in a couple of noisier spots and it’s hit or miss. The noise cancellation helps a bit but it’s not going to filter out someone talking right next to you. Still usable if you’re both speaking clearly.
I’m in the same boat. It’s not like I feel dramatically different, but I don’t feel worse either, so I just keep using it. Hard to argue with something that’s not causing any problems and might be doing a little something.
I used it on a dark blue sedan and it did a decent job on the light scuffs around the rear bumper. Not a miracle worker but the marks were definitely less noticeable after. I’d say it’s worth trying for what it costs.

500 mL sounds small but for a desk fan it’s probably fine. I wouldn’t expect it to run full blast all day without a top up around lunch. Seems like one of those things where you adjust to what it can do instead of expecting it to match a big cooler.
Plastic trim is just porous enough to hold onto stuff like that. A quick wipe with a damp microfiber usually takes it off for me.
It’ll probably just look like a normal retro game on a regular HD screen. The 4K output is just upscaling anyway, not like they rewrote the pixels. I wouldn’t stress over it.

You can use your own SIM, it’s not locked. I think the whole “locked to their plan” thing is just a misunderstanding.
