Hey, quick question. I’ve had my AiraBreeze for a few weeks and I noticed the little water level window on the side gets kinda foggy on the inside after it’s been running for a while. Is that normal? I can still see the water line but it’s not as clear as it was at first. Just wondering if anyone else’s does that.

Mine does the exact same thing, so I’d say it’s normal. I’ve had mine for about two months and the window has looked hazy almost the whole time. It’s not a huge deal since the water line is still visible, but I remember thinking the same thing when I first noticed it.

What I figured out is that it’s just moisture sitting on the inside of the plastic. The air inside the tank is obviously wet and the window is a different temperature, so it fogs up like a cold drink glass. I tried wiping it from the outside and that obviously didn’t change anything. I’ve just accepted it.

I do wonder if it’ll get worse over time or if there’s a way to clean the inside of the window without taking the whole thing apart. But honestly, for what it is, I can still tell when I need to refill it and that’s what really matters to me.

Mine does that too, I think it’s just from the moisture sitting against the plastic. It started happening around the same time for me and it’s never gotten worse or anything. I just check the line and move on, doesn’t really bother me.

If it’s still readable after it’s been running a while, I wouldn’t call it a problem. Moisture collects on the inside of those windows on basically anything with a water tank. Mine started doing it within the first week and it never got worse than just being a bit hazy. As long as you can tell where the line is, it’s fine.

I guess I’m the odd one out here but mine stays pretty clear. I’ve had it running almost daily for about a month now and the window is still easy to read. Maybe it depends on the water you’re using or how humid the room gets, but I wouldn’t call it a design flaw just yet.

Mine fogs up too, but I also noticed it eventually gets a bit of grime in that same window. I think it’s just trapped moisture and whatever is in the tap water. As long as you’re not seeing mold or anything, it’s probably fine.

Mine does this too and honestly I just assumed it’s the cool air meeting the warmer plastic or whatever. The line is still easy enough to read so it hasn’t really bugged me. I just wipe the outside once in a while and leave it alone.

It’s just condensation, mine does the same thing and hasn’t caused any issues.

Mine does the same thing after it’s been running for a couple hours, especially if the room is warm and the water in the tank is cool. I think it’s just moisture building up on the inside of the plastic, nothing more than that. The line stays visible on mine too, just a bit hazy around the edges. I did notice it gets a little worse if I leave the unit sitting with water in it for a few days without running it. When I empty it out and let it dry completely, the window clears right up. So if it bothers you, that might be worth trying, but for normal daily use I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s just the nature of having a window on a water tank. As long as you can still read the level, it’s fine.

Foggy window sounds like a minor issue compared to how much of a pain these things are to keep clean anyway. Mine does it too and I stopped caring after the first week. If you can still read the line, it’s working fine.

I noticed the same thing on mine around the second week. It’s not just a little haze either, it’s like the plastic is sweating from the inside. I can still see the water line if I look close enough, but it definitely makes me wonder how much buildup is happening in there that I can’t see.

What gets me is that I don’t run mine all day. It’s mostly for my office during the afternoon, so it’s not like it’s going nonstop for weeks. Even with that kind of light use, the window looks worse than I’d expect after maybe a month of owning it. I’ve got a feeling it’s just the nature of having a sealed water tank with cool water sitting in it, but I’m not about to take the whole thing apart to check.

I’d rather keep the water level easy to read than have a fancy clear window that fogs up, honestly. If it gets to the point where I can’t tell how much is left, I’ll probably just start refilling at the same time every day and stop relying on the window altogether. That’s probably what I should do anyway, since I’ve already got the routine down. As long as the fog doesn’t turn into something green or slimy, I’m not losing sleep over it.

Mine did the same thing and it cleared up once I stopped topping it off with really cold water. I think the temp difference just makes the window sweat a bit. Still readable after a few months of daily use, so I stopped paying attention to it.

Mine fogs up too but honestly I think it’s fine. I’ve had mine for about two months now and it does the same thing whenever I fill it with cooler water. The window still works for checking the level, just not as pretty to look at.

I think that’s just what happens with these things honestly. Mine does the exact same thing and I’m coming up on three months with it now. The window gets that hazy film on it after it runs for a while, especially if I’ve just refilled it with cooler water. I can still see the level good enough, so I never really thought much of it.

What I did notice is that it seems to clear up on its own after the water sits in there for a bit and warms up to room temp. So I just kind of stopped paying attention to it. As long as I can tell when it needs a refill, it doesn’t bother me. Probably just condensation or something from the temperature difference, nothing that seems like a defect or anything.

Mine never fogs and I run mine daily, so I would not expect that to be normal.
