I’m thinking about getting the Qinux AirdrobeX mainly for drying jeans and thicker cotton stuff indoors during winter. I know it’s supposed to be gentle, but I’m wondering if it actually gets jeans fully dry without taking forever. Anyone tried it with denim or heavy fabrics yet?

I’ve dried a pair of jeans in mine a couple times and they came out fine, just took a bit longer than thinner fabrics. Not lightning fast but it got them dry without feeling stiff or overheated.

I chucked a pair of heavy jeans in mine last week and they dried fine, just a bit longer than a t-shirt. Not like a commercial dryer speed but it gets them dry enough.

I’m not surprised it takes longer. Denim is thick, air has to work harder. That’s pretty much any dryer that isn’t a commercial beast, not just this one.

I haven’t tried jeans yet but I’d be surprised if it struggles with them that much. It’s basically a warm air closet, so thicker stuff just takes a bit longer, that’s not really a flaw.

Denim is always gonna be the slowest thing you put in there, no way around it. I think mine takes maybe twice as long as a normal cotton shirt, but it does get there eventually. As long as you’re not in a rush, it’s fine for winter.

Honestly, I wouldn’t worry too much about it taking forever. I’ve thrown thick stuff in mine and it gets there, just not instantly. I think people expect it to work like a regular dryer and it’s just not that kind of machine. If you’re not in a rush, it’s fine.

Honestly, I think people overestimate how much “forever” means with these things. If it dries them overnight, that’s still way better than hanging them in a damp room for two days and having them smell weird.

I’ve only used mine a handful of times so far, but I did try a pair of fairly thick cargo pants in it, not exactly jeans but close enough in weight. It took a while, I’m not gonna lie, but I just set it before bed and by morning they were completely dry. No damp spots or anything.

I think the key is not to expect it to be as fast as a regular dryer. For me, the tradeoff is worth it because I don’t want to shrink my stuff or deal with the noise. I’d rather toss them in before I go to sleep and wake up to dry clothes than stand there waiting on a cycle.

I’d say if you’re patient with it, you’ll be fine. The only thing I’d note is to make sure you’re not overloading it, because that’s when thicker stuff seems to take forever.

I’ve dried a couple of heavier pairs of pants in mine and it handled them fine, just not in a hurry. I set it before bed and they were ready by morning, which is good enough for me in winter.

Jeans are thick, so I wouldnt expect miracles. But if your main goal is getting them dry overnight instead of having them stiffen up on a rack, this will do the job. Just dont stand there watching it.

I’d probably just hang the jeans in there and check them in the morning. If they’re still a bit damp at the seams, that’s what a quick iron or hanging them out for an hour is for. Winter drying is never perfect anyway, so as long as they’re not dripping, it’s doing its job.

Alright, thanks for all the input everyone, that pretty much settles it for me. I think I’ll grab one and just see how it goes with a pair of my heavier work jeans.
