I’ve been using the Qinux WarmPro in my office for a few days now. It heats up the space fine, but I’m not sure if it has any kind of built-in timer or if it just keeps running until you switch it off at the wall. I’m asking because I’d rather not leave it on all night by accident. Anyone know?

I think it just runs until you unplug it, sadly. I checked mine a couple of nights ago and there’s no timer button or anything like that on it. I’ve just been making a habit of switching it off at the wall before I leave the room, just in case.

So no timer then. From what I can tell it just runs until it loses power, either by unplugging it or flipping the switch on the outlet. I checked the manual that came in the box hoping there was some hidden setting or something, but no. It’s basically a dumb device, which is fine if you’re aware of it.

The one thing I’ll say is that it does have that auto shutoff if it tips over. I’ve had mine get knocked by accident and it cuts out on its own. That’s about the only safety net you’re getting here. It won’t save you if you forget to turn it off before bed.

If leaving it running overnight is a real concern, I’d get one of those cheap outlet timers. Plug the WarmPro into that and set it to cut power after an hour or two. That way you don’t have to rely on remembering to kill the switch every time.

It is kind of funny how many people are assuming it doesn’t have one. I actually had the opposite experience with mine. I got it for my bathroom and left it plugged in overnight by mistake one time. Honestly I think this is one of those “set it and forget it” kind of gadgets. The way I see it, the auto shutoff is your real safety net here. It’s not like these things are designed to run indefinitely anyway. Once it gets too hot or if it gets bumped, it kills itself. That’s the main thing that matters if you’re worried about leaving it plugged in. I wouldn’t count on a timer feature that isn’t there. Some plug-in heaters have them, some don’t. This one seems like it doesn’t. Your best bet is to just get into the habit of unplugging it when you’re done. I know that’s not the answer you were hoping for, but it’s better to assume it’ll run forever than to trust something that isn’t actually built in.
