I haven’t noticed it myself, but I figure most of these things make some kind of noise when the water’s low. Kind of comes with the territory for a portable cooler.
I’m still on the fence about getting one, so it’s interesting to see some people say it runs warm and others don’t. Makes me wonder if it’s just luck of the draw or depends on what you’re doing with it.
I can see how they’d be more of a headlight thing, but the streetlights do look a bit less harsh through them. Not a huge change, but enough that I don’t feel like squinting as much on my usual route.
I wasn’t really expecting it to cool the whole room, so I’m not disappointed. It keeps the air moving and that’s enough for me when it’s just hot enough to be annoying but not unbearable.
Honestly, I’d be more worried about the Wi-Fi reaching the TV than the HDMI port itself. As long as the TV has one, it should be fine. I almost got one for my folks but they still use a DVD player more than anything, so I passed.
I just put mine on stands behind the couch and left them at ear level. It sounds fine to me even though they are close. You might be overthinking it a bit.
I’ve noticed the battery thing too actually, seems like it drains way quicker if there’s even a light breeze. The app has been hit or miss for me as well but restarting it usually sorts it out, though it’s annoying mid-flight. Not sure if there’s a setting to help with the battery or if it’s just the way it is with these smaller drones.
I was wondering the same thing when I first got mine. I don’t think it makes a huge difference for control, but I do find it handy when I’m just holding the knife loosely while reaching for something on the counter. It keeps my finger from sliding onto the blade, which is nice.
Thanks for the info everyone. Sounds like offline is decent for the basics but not much more than that. I’ll probably still pick one up and just use it mostly online. Appreciate the help.
I’ve only used mine a handful of times but I noticed the same thing with the battery when I had the IR on for a while. Seems like it just drains quicker than I expected, even on the medium setting. The night vision itself works well enough though, so I’m not sure if it’s a design thing or just how these units are.
I tried mine on my shoulder and honestly the heat is pretty subtle even on the highest level, so I think that’s just how it works. The EMS is definitely the main feature here, the warmth is more of a nice bonus than something you really feel. It might feel warmer if you use it on a thinner area like your neck instead of the lower back.
I kinda wondered the same thing. I figure if it fills them in temporarily that’s still better than nothing, but I’d rather know if it actually polishes them out.
