Thinking about picking up a pair of PolorVision for night driving. I’m mostly wondering if they do much for those bright LED streetlights or if it’s mainly for oncoming headlights. Anyone tried them in the city?

I use mine mostly for the LED streetlights and they definitely tone down that harsh blue-ish glow. It’s not a magic fix but it makes the drive a lot less tiring on my eyes. I don’t even notice the headlights as much anymore either.

I’d still grab them. Even if they only help a little with the streetlights, that’s less eye strain by the end of a long drive.

I picked up a pair mostly for highway driving, but I actually ended up liking them more in the city than I expected. The LED streetlights still look bright, but the harsh edge is definitely gone. I just wish they were a little darker sometimes.

I’m glad someone brought up the streetlights specifically. I picked these up more for the headlights but I actually find myself noticing the difference more with those bright white streetlights. It’s not a huge change but it’s enough that I don’t feel like squinting as much on my usual route home.

Huh, I actually hadn’t thought about streetlights when I grabbed mine. I mostly got them for the rainy highway glare and they do okay with that. The city lights are just kind of… there, I guess. Not a huge difference but not worse either.

I haven’t tried them myself yet but I’m curious about the streetlight part too. A friend mentioned they helped a bit with the harsh white lights in his area but he wasn’t sure if it was placebo or not. I might just grab a pair and see for myself.

I’ve just been curious about the same thing with those newer streetlights. Hard to tell if any lens really cuts through that kind of bright white light or if it’s mostly a headlight thing.

I think they help more with headlights than streetlights honestly. The streetlights still look bright to me, just a little less harsh maybe. Not a huge difference but not useless either.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I feel like a lot of these glasses just make things slightly warmer or dimmer but don’t really fix the harshness of the new streetlights. It probably works fine enough to take the edge off, but I wouldn’t expect it to be a total game changer.

I feel like it depends on the type of streetlight honestly. The really bright white LEDs still catch my eye a bit, but the older orange ones seem way softer with them on.
