Thinking about picking up a Flixy stick mainly for streaming, but I saw it has casual game support. Is that actually usable or just a gimmick? Not expecting console stuff, just wondering if it’s worth bothering with.

I tried the casual games a couple of times just out of curiosity. It works well enough for simple puzzle or card games, but I wouldn’t call it a real feature. Honestly, I mostly forget it’s even there.

I messed around with the puzzle games on mine a bit and they worked fine for killing time. Definitely not something I’d buy it for, but since you’re already getting it for streaming, it’s a nice little extra to have around.

I think people overthink the casual games thing. It’s a streaming stick first, so if the games work at all that’s just a bonus. I’ve played a few rounds of solitaire on mine and it was totally fine. Not a big deal either way.

I’ve poked around with the games a bit and they load up fine, but it’s not something I’d rely on for more than a few minutes here and there. The streaming part is clearly the main draw, so if the casual stuff works at all, it’s just a nice extra. I wouldn’t let the game support be the reason to buy it though.

It’s fine for what it is. I’ve fired up a few basic games on mine when I was bored and they ran without issue. Nothing special, but it’s not trying to be a console. If you’re already getting the stick for streaming, the games are just a neat extra that actually works.

I’d say it depends how casual you mean. I fiddled with a word game on mine for a bit and it was fine, nothing to write home about. If you already want the stick for streaming, it’s a neat extra to have around.

I’d just treat the games as a nice extra if you’re already getting the stick for streaming. Not something I’d worry about either way.

I think if you’re already getting the stick for streaming, the games are just a bonus you might mess with once or twice. They work, but they’re not really a reason to buy it on their own. I’d say don’t overthink it.

I barely touch the games on mine. It does the job if you’re waiting for something to load, but I wouldn’t base the purchase on that part.

I messed around with one of those simple puzzle games on mine while waiting for a show to buffer and it worked fine. Definitely not a reason to buy the stick, but it’s there if you get bored. I wouldn’t overthink it.

It’s probably fine for killing a few minutes, but I wouldn’t get excited about it. If you’re already buying the stick for streaming, messing with a simple game now and then won’t hurt. Not really a big deal either way.

Not totally sure it’s worth getting just for that. I messed with one of the built-in games on mine once and it was fine for like 5 minutes but I wouldn’t call it a real feature.

They’re not going to blow you away, but it’s not a gimmick either. I’ve played a few rounds of stuff on mine when I’m too lazy to grab my phone. Works fine for what it is.

I mean, it’s probably fine for what it is. If you’re already getting the stick for streaming, I wouldn’t sweat the games too much one way or the other.

It’s not a gimmick, but it’s not a selling point either. The games are basic enough to work, just don’t expect them to hold your attention for long. If you already want the stick for streaming, consider the games a free bonus and nothing more.

I think it’s fine for what it is. I’ve used mine to kill time with some of the simple games and they worked well enough for quick sessions. Not something I’d buy the stick for, but it’s a nice bonus.

It’s fine for what it is, just don’t expect much. I’ve launched a few of the built-in games and they work, but I got bored pretty fast. Not really a reason to buy the stick, but it’s not hurting anything being there either.

I’d say it’s decent for killing a few minutes here and there. I’ve played some of the simple games on mine while waiting for something to load and they worked fine for that. Not something I’d buy the stick for, but it’s a nice little extra since you’re already getting it for streaming.
