MemberGot the Black Falcon Drone last week. The box says 4K at 60fps, but my footage looks more like 30fps to me. Anyone else notice this or am I missing a setting somewhere?

Mike89ParticipantI haven’t really tested mine frame by frame but honestly the footage looks smooth enough to me for what it is. I mostly just use it for quick shots while hiking so 30fps wouldn’t bother me anyway. Maybe the 60fps is only in some specific mode or resolution setting.

MemberHonestly, I think the 60fps thing is just marketing fluff on these cheaper drones. I’ve seen the same thing with mine, it looks fine for casual flying but definitely not a true 60 frames.

MemberMaybe check the app settings, mine defaulted to 30 and I had to dig around to switch it. Not saying it’s true 60fps but it looked a bit smoother after that.

Paul847ParticipantI mean, it’s probably not *true* 60fps but mine looks fine for what I paid. Might just be a quirk of the file.

MemberI think it’s probably doing some software trick to hit 60fps but mine looks fine in good light. It gets choppier if it’s a bit windy or darker out, so maybe check your conditions.

MemberHonestly, I think it’s hard to tell without really checking the file properties. I just use mine for quick flights and it looks good enough on my phone.

Chris MillerMemberI’d check the file info on your computer, sometimes the player you’re using might not show the right frame rate. That happened with mine and it was actually recording at 60fps, just looked different on my phone.

MemberI haven’t bothered checking the file properties on mine, but it’s smooth enough for quick clips around the yard. If it’s not true 60fps, I can’t really tell the difference in good light anyway.

Oliver BrooksMemberMine looked a little off too at first but I didn’t really dig into it. Probably fine for messing around with, I guess.

Tom in NYCMemberIt’s a budget drone, so I wouldn’t expect cinema-level specs. If the footage looks smooth enough to use, that’s basically what you paid for.

MemberI haven’t really looked that close at mine but it seems smooth enough when I’m just flying around the park. Honestly I’m not too fussed about the exact frame rate as long as the clips look decent for sharing with friends.

Emma JarrisMemberHmm, I kinda disagree. I checked the file properties on mine and it shows 60fps, so maybe it’s just a setting thing or how you’re playing it back.

MemberI noticed that too on mine, but when I checked the video file on my computer it actually showed 60fps, so I think it’s real. Might just be how the drone handles it in certain lighting or something.
