I think it depends on how hot your room actually gets. For me, ice gives a nice little burst of cold air while I’m settling in, but after that it’s basically just running like normal. Not a huge deal either way.
I just set mine for two hours and it shut off fine, no fuss. The timer is in full hours, so it’s not like you can do 90 minutes or anything, but for basic stuff it works.
I think mine sits in a spot that gets maybe three or four hours of direct sun in the late morning and it’s been running fine overnight so far. I wouldn’t stress too much about full all-day sun, it seems to hold the charge pretty decently even with some clouds.
I think most people here pretty much covered it. I ended up trying mouth taping for a few nights just to see and honestly it felt like overkill with the humidifier running. My throat was already fine so I just went back to the humidifier alone. No reason to make things complicated if it is not broken.
I’d just give it a shot honestly. Even if it drains a bit faster on cloudy days, you can always plug it in with USB once in a while to top it off. That’s what I do when we get a string of gloomy weather.
I think if the suction is noticeable on your hand, it’s probably enough for what it’s meant for. I mean, choking blockages aren’t usually that deeply lodged, right? Seems like it’d work fine in the moment.
I’d say it’s fine to leave it plugged in, that’s what I do. The USB port on the TV only gives power when the TV is on anyway, so it’s not like it’s running 24/7. Saves faffing around with cables every time you want to watch something.
I think you’re overthinking it a bit. The vents are just there so you don’t panic if your mouth opens, not to actually stop mouth breathing. Mine still drops open sometimes and it’s fine, I just wake up, close it, and go back to sleep. Not a big deal in my experience.
I’d probably just keep using it and not overthink it too much. If it helps even a little, that’s better than nothing.
I’ve had mine for a few weeks now and I’d say it’s more of a consistent mild warmth than anything super toasty. I actually didn’t even notice it at first until I sat still for a bit, then it felt nice and steady. Might just be that your expectations were higher, but mine works fine.
I’m not sure I buy the whole “years and years” thing people are saying. I’ve had mine for maybe a year and a half and I already had to swap the battery a couple months ago. It’s not a big deal since it’s easy to change, but I wouldn’t plan on it lasting forever just sitting there.

Honestly, I think for 120 sq ft you’d be fine if you just want to take the chill out of the air. I’ve got mine in a room that’s maybe a bit bigger than that and it definitely makes a difference, especially if you point it towards where you’re sitting. It’s not gonna feel like a furnace blasting, but it takes the edge off pretty well. I’d say go for it if you’re just trying to save on the central heat a bit.
The 15 minute thing is a bit short, but for quick touch ups it’s not bad. I like mine for getting dust out of the garage corners too.
Interesting point about the position. I’ve noticed mine acts up more when I set it on the passenger seat too, but I always blamed the heat from the sun or something.
Honestly I’d just try what you already have and see what happens. My Tagsley charges on a random generic pad I got from Amazon and it’s been fine. Your Anker is probably better quality than that, so I wouldn’t worry too much about buying something else unless it doesn’t work.
I just used mine on our deck a couple weekends ago and it was fine. I didn’t go crazy with it or anything, just kept it moving. Honestly I think if you’re already worried about it, you’ll probably be extra careful anyway.
Glad I started this thread because these replies actually helped me just go ahead and get one. I’ve had it for a couple weeks now and my hair isn’t magically perfect or anything, but it definitely doesn’t feel like straw anymore. That’s good enough for me.
I got mine a couple months ago and honestly I just use it in the bedroom instead of the AC at night. Not sure about exact numbers but the room feels fine and I figure it’s gotta be cheaper than running the big unit all night. Works for me.
I’ve got one and I think the camera is honestly fine for quick clips, especially if you’re just throwing stuff on Instagram stories. It’s not gonna blow anyone away but it does the job. I mostly grabbed it for the size too and haven’t really regretted it so far.
I haven’t really noticed a big difference with the self-cleaning mode on either. I just charge it every few days and it’s been fine for me.
I guess it depends on the phone and how long you’re driving. I mostly use mine for shorter errands so I haven’t really noticed a big difference, but I can see it adding up on a longer trip.
Mine does the same with the brush, I think it’s just how it is. Doesn’t bother me much because I usually just use it for a quick pass on the sofa or the car seats and that’s still enough time to get the job done.
It’s probably fine. Most of these little travel routers get a bit warm after a few hours, they don’t have a lot of space for the heat to go anywhere. I wouldn’t worry about it unless it starts getting really hot to the touch.
