I’m thinking about getting a Qinux FelinStop for my patio, but that corner doesn’t get full sun all afternoon. The solar charging thing sounds convenient, but I’m wondering if it’ll still work overnight if it’s only getting a few hours of direct light. Anyone know how sensitive the panel is to shade or cloudy weather?

I think mine sits in a spot that gets maybe three or four hours of direct sun in the late morning and it’s been running fine overnight so far. I wouldn’t stress too much about full all-day sun, it seems to hold the charge pretty decently even with some clouds.

I wouldn’t overthink it too much. Mine gets maybe a couple hours of direct light and it’s still going overnight without any issues.
