I do a few short multilingual calls each week for work and I’m thinking about the SonaBuds. How do they handle quick back-and-forth translation when you’re not going slow or pausing between sentences?

Works fine for me. I don’t do super fast back and forth but the delay isn’t bad enough to kill the flow. People are overthinking this.

I usually keep my sentences pretty short and my calls are more like quick check ins, so it works fine for me. The slight pause doesn’t really throw me off since I’m not expecting a totally natural conversation rhythm anyway. I actually prefer that it forces me to speak a bit clearer, which is probably good for the translation.

Not totally sure about super fast back and forth, but for quick check in style calls the delay seems manageable. I think it handles well enough if you’re not trying to interrupt each other. I haven’t tested it in a heated back and forth though.

The main thing I noticed is that if your internet connection dips, the translation gets a bit sluggish, but that’s not really the buds’ fault. For quick back-and-forth on a stable line, they do the job fine.

Pretty much what I figured. Fast enough for short stuff, not perfect if the connection hiccups. Good enough for my calls, I’ll stop overthinking it.
