I’m thinking about getting the Qinux Vapoxis, but I mainly want it for cleaning bathroom mirrors and glass. Anyone tried it on mirrors without leaving streaks? I know it uses steam, so I’m a bit unsure if that would just fog things up or actually clean them.

I’ve used mine on bathroom mirrors a bunch of times, and honestly the key is not lingering in one spot. If you hover too long with the steam, yeah, it’s gonna look foggy for a second. But if you go over it with the squeegee attachment right after, it clears up fine and I don’t get streaks. The heat actually helps cut through toothpaste splatter and hard water spots way better than a damp cloth ever did for me.

One thing I’ll say is that it’s not magic. You still have to wipe, but it’s way less elbow grease than usual. I wouldn’t use it on a mirror that’s really thin or cheap, just because of the heat, but on normal bathroom mirrors it’s been fine. I’ve had mine for a couple months now and it’s become my go-to for the glass shower door too.

Steam on glass sounds like it would be a mess, but it actually isn’t as bad as you’d think. I borrowed one from a friend to test on our shower door and the big mirror above the sink, mainly because I was curious about the same thing. The fog does happen for a second, but it clears fast once you wipe it with a microfiber cloth. I didn’t get streaks, but I also didn’t let the steam sit there and condense. I kept the nozzle moving and wiped as I went, kind of like I was chasing the steam. The bathroom mirror came out pretty clear, I’ll admit. I was expecting to have to re-clean it with glass spray afterward, but I didn’t need to. It’s not magic, but for a quick refresh it does the job. I’d say the main thing is just not to overthink the steam part.

Used mine on a shower door and a big wall mirror last week. It does not fog things up like you would expect. The steam is hot enough that it basically evaporates off the glass pretty fast. Left it mostly clear, no real streaks.

The only thing I noticed is that you have to wipe it down right after the steam hits, otherwise you get spots where the water sits for a second. But that is true with any cleaner honestly. I did not need any chemical spray or paper towel mess, just a microfiber cloth after each pass.

For bathroom mirrors specifically I would say it is fine. The surface is small enough that you can go over it quickly before the steam cools. The bigger issue is the cord being in the way when you are reaching up, but that is not a mirror problem. If you already have the thing, it will do the job.

I was skeptical about steam on glass too, but it actually dries fast and leaves a clean finish. I used mine on a bedroom mirror and it was fine, no fog left behind. Just wipe it off quick while the steam is still working and you’re good.

Personally I would skip it for mirrors and just use a regular glass cleaner. Steam cleaners are great for a lot of stuff but for glass I feel like you are just making extra work for yourself. A microfiber cloth and spray is faster and I know it won’t streak.

I’d pass on this for mirrors honestly. It cleans fine but you still have to wipe after, so you might as well use a cloth and spray.

I’ve used mine on glass a handful of times and it’s fine if you keep it moving, but it’s not magic. The steam does help lift stuff off, yet you still need a quick wipe behind it. For a bathroom mirror that gets fogged up anyway, I’d say it’s more hassle than just grabbing a spray bottle.

I actually got mine mostly for the car interior, but I have used it on the bathroom mirror a couple of times when I was too lazy to grab the spray bottle. It’s not as bad as people make it sound, but you do have to treat it differently than you would a normal cleaner. The steam doesn’t really fog the glass up, it just kind of sits on the surface. If you go over it with a dry microfiber cloth right after, it comes out pretty clear.

The thing is, I still need the cloth. So, it’s not saving me a step there. What I did notice is that it strips off that soap scum film way better than my regular glass spray does, so the mirror stays clean for longer instead of getting that cloudy look again in a day. I guess it depends on how much you hate doing the initial wipe.

I like mine for the shower and sink area, but for mirrors I always end up grabbing a microfiber cloth and regular spray anyway. The steam just makes me feel like I need to do an extra pass to get it streak-free, so it kind of defeats the purpose for me.

I get the hesitation about steam fogging up the mirror, but that’s not really how it plays out. The steam evaporates fast, and you’re wiping it off right away anyway. I found it does a decent job on water spots if you go over them a couple of times, though I still keep a spray bottle around for the quick touch-ups.

I think the mirror is actually one of the better surfaces for it. The steam loosens up toothpaste splatter and stuff like that way faster than spraying and scrubbing. You do have to wipe after, but that’s true for any cleaner. Mine gets the mirror done without the streaks I get from regular spray sometimes.

It does fine on mirrors, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to use it for that. I’ve done it when the glass was really grimy and it worked, but for a quick weekly wipe I still just grab the spray. It’s more of a deep clean tool for me.

I’ve had mine for a few months and I actually think mirrors are one of the easier surfaces for it. The key is not letting the steam sit there. You just go over the glass and wipe it off right away with a dry cloth. I’ve never had it leave streaks, but I also don’t use it on the mirror every single day. It’s more of a weekly thing when the glass has that film on it from toothpaste and humidity.

The one thing I’ll say is that the cloth matters more than the steam. If your cloth is damp or has any residue from a previous cleaning, you’ll see it on the mirror. I keep one dedicated microfiber cloth for glass and it comes out fine every time. I wouldn’t use it for a quick touch up, but if you’re already cleaning the bathroom, it saves you from pulling out a separate spray bottle.

I just use mine on the shower glass door more than the mirror, but the mirror works fine too. The steam doesn’t fog it up any more than hot water from the shower would. I just wipe it down while it’s still warm and it comes out clear.

Okay, that pretty much settles it for me. I was mainly worried about the fog, but it sounds like it’s not a real problem and it does a better job than my current spray and wipe routine. I think I’m just going to go ahead and order one.
