Lower levels are pretty mild on most collars like this, I think that’s just how they are designed. If you need more, just turn it up a notch and see if it does what you want. Works fine for us after we dialed it in a bit.
People throw around that 2 year number but it really depends. I wouldn’t bank on it if you’re getting several alerts every day.
Honestly I wouldn’t overthink it. The heat on these things is more of a mild warmth than actual heat, it’s not really meant to replace a heating pad. Works fine for what it is.
Pretty much what I figured. It’s a cheap stick for an old TV, so a little stutter here and there doesn’t surprise me. Works well enough for what it costs. I’ll keep using it.
Probably not a big deal unless it’s constantly uploading HD footage. I run one 24/7 and my phones/laptop barely notice. 2.4 GHz usually works fine for these.
It’s a handy little lamp, I think, but the ultrasonic claim feels sketchy. Maybe it cuts down a few on calm nights, but I wouldn’t trust it as your only protection.
If the old bag still works and you like keeping things simple, I’d probably skip the upgrade. Extra pockets and padding sound nice but usually just add weight and fiddliness.
Yep, Bluetooth performance changes between machines for me too. Wheel and battery are great, but I miss having a receiver when traveling. Depends what you need it for.
Pretty decent for spot cleaning, but it doesn’t get rid of all the fine dust. I still have to wipe vents afterwards.
I think truly silent collars are pretty rare, anything with a bell will jingle. I usually just take mine off at night and the cat sleeps fine, maybe try that before hunting for a miracle collar.
I expected a softer, more knife-friendly surface and less noise, but it’s definitely louder and feels harder than wood. After a few months I only needed normal honing, not constant resharpening. I kept it for the cleanup perks, but if you care about razor edges I’d be cautious.
I’m skeptical about the battery numbers, mine barely gets past two hours at medium brightness playing SNES/Genesis games. On the plus side the second stick actually helps for some fighting setups and shmups.
Thanks for the thoughts. I kept the ClairLite and use it occasionally, but I think it’s more peace of mind than a real substitute for a proper clean. Maybe it helps a bit with smells, but not totally sure it’s worth the price.
I think that kind of drop is normal. Mine went to about 50% after a few short tracked walks, maybe depends on update frequency.
Tried one in-store; feels light and comfy, but the motor is slow so clean lines on steel or glass are hit-or-miss. Fine for quick labels and little gifts though.
Took one in a tent once. It attracted a few little bugs but I still woke up with bites, so I stay skeptical it actually prevents bites rather than just catching random moths.

Depends what you need it for, but it’s fine for rinsing cars, bikes and patio furniture and light mud. Dried baked-on mud on driveways or wheel wells is hit or miss, you’ll need to pre-soak or scrub for stubborn stuff. Filling from a bucket is a bit fiddly but manageable, and battery lasts long enough for a few cars or an hour of spot work, not all-day jobs.
Tried it on a few light marks and it did help, but after a couple weeks the edges were still noticeable at certain angles. I think it mainly fills/hides rather than actually removing the scratch. If you need it gone for good you probably need polish or touch-up paint, depends what you need it for. For quick cosmetics it’s fine though.
